I'm thinking that this page is crying out for a collage of westerns through the years.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I love the first blog's pictures; they do a good job of showing the themes and elements of a Western without being movie posters.
Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.I tend to agree...not where I can look at all these suggestions right now.

"Normally I'm not in a habit of going to IP for a blank page..."
I think adding an image to a page that doesn't have one is more valuable than changing the image on a page that does. This is somewhat mitigated by the fact that the "best" pages (the ones "worth spending time on") tend to have images already. Here is an exception: a fine and worthy endeavor.
This is about stories set in the American Old West. What about something like...
...trying (but failing) to find an image that shows a lot of spaghetti Western tropes... maybe a tableau with a town set and a gunslinger on a rearing horse, or a cowboy entering a saloon, or...
Collage does seem like it might be appropriate, but, of what?
The "collection of Western movie paraphernalia" images look good, but I dunno, this seems like it has more to do with characters and sets than props. Maybe not.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Keep in mind this is for The Western, not the Spaghetti Western subgenre.
If we're going with the paraphernalia pictures from the first post, this◊ gets my pick. It features the classic six-shooter, the cowboy hat and a frikkin' cactus!
I prefer the one with the metal chest and the wanted poster. Especially the wanted poster. Pic #2.3.

The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Bump. Anyone have any more suggestions?
If no one else has any suggestions, we can put together a crowner based on the existing suggestions.
Blank crowner's hooked.
I've filled in the crowner.
Bump for votes, this one's not conclusive.
Looks like we've got a winner. Can someone please add the pic and tag?
Done and done, but without caption or source.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanCaptions...hmmm...I got nuthin' right now.
"Now, all you need is Clint on a horse, and you've got yourself a Western film."
Dunno.

Eh.

Since there's no consensus on a caption, let's go ahead and lock up and move on.

Nominations for replacement images:
Normally I'm not in a habit of going to IP for a blank page, but there are so many great pictures out there for this topic that I can't decide.
So here are some links just to get things started. One thing I would ask is that we refrain from doing any pics from Animated Shows or cartoons. I also think we should try to avoid anything that would be better for Spaghetti Western, which also needs a picture.
