Those don't sound like strong reasons. Like, you don't hear people say they hate a male actor for the same reasons.
That's why I said it was my personal reasons. She's not a horrible actress and I feel she's done a little better in this than the Transformer films she was in.
(V)(;,,;)(V)I don't dislike Megan Fox. I dislike the Megan Fox hype.
OH MY GOD SHE'S THE HOTTEST WOMAN EVER? Eh, far from it, even if I would never kick her outta bed.
She was probably the best part of the first two Transformers movies, if only because she wasn't a goddamn blubbering pansy like Shia La Beouf's character (did I spell his name right?).
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I haven't heard any of this Megan Fox hype, only nerds backlashing to it. So I'm skeptical whether it's actually real
Thanks for the name calling, that was really classy.
Basically, she is the epitome of the Hollywood Hype Machine. Just before the first Transformers movie came out she was suddenly the hottest woman in the world, but a combination of not doing much besides those big acting-lite/cleavage-required blockbusters, overexposure and reports of being The Prima Donna turned a lot of people against her. She still has fans for being so attractive, of course, and it sounds like she's become a lot more humble after being fired for Transformers 3.
I personally think she has a reasonable amount of genuine acting talent, as mentioned Mikaela was almost a more proactive and compelling character than Sam (he ran away screaming from Frenzy, she went for the demolition saw), and her performance helped contribute to that. I thought she was okay in the previous TMNT film but I don't think she had the best direction and the massive script changes didn't help either. She did pull off the String Theory rambling scene rather well.

I think she's an okay actress. I'm more or less indifferent to her and even in movies she was bad in there are plenty more things to be annoyed by in them. There's people in Hollywood that push my buttons far worse.

I'm okay with Megan Fox, it's the insane hype she had earlier on in her career that soured her for me previously.
Looks like we now have confirmation that the aliens are, in fact, the Krang/Utrom in some form. Got a Super Bowl spot where we see a pink alien in a robot suit's stomach.
Dudes!
The Super Bowl commercial showed the Krang for a few seconds!
Not only that, but the same commercial is run on Youtube right now!
Did we really need that "sexy" Megan Fox shot in the middle though? I mean, how she's been used has been my one issue with the promos.
I'm sorry, but you may be new to finding out that this is Michael Bay here...
It's the most Michael Bay movie that isn't directed by Michael Bay.

May as well.
Is embedding out again. Geez.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI agree. I mean if they want to make Megan Fox's April O'Neil fanservicy, the obvious first step is give her a yellow jumpsuit.
Other than that this movie is shaping up to be the Turtles movie all fans have dreamed of back in the 90s.

"This isn't working."
"We keep failing."
Maybe if you guys upgraded to long range weapons. Just a thought.
I've seen the film.
Eh, not perfect, but it's a well-paced love letter to the 80's toon. Bebop and Rocksteady are note-perfect, there's a compelling side-plot with the Ooze and creates a brief schism between the brothers that fleshes them out a bit more, and I liked Vernon's little journey throughout
Don't expect any action from Shredder (who's disposed of as soon as he completes his mission), or even the Technodrome. Krang doesn't even bring anyone with him from Dimension X. The Technodrome's trademark eyeball does show up in the film, but doesn't make it to the toy
I can say that's a pretty decent assessment.
Is the story kind of dumb if you think about it? Yes. Does it run on a lot of faulty logic? Yes.
Do I really care? No, I can't say I really do.
And despite all its flaws, the movie still manages to be a lot of fun beyond the fact that it's fueled by childhood nostalgia.
It's a small thing, but arguably my favorite part was the fact that the credits actually used a cover version of the classic theme song.
Do you think that someone who likes the Mirage Studios comics, but not the 1987 cartoon would like it? Especially if they did like the 1990 & 2007 movies, and the 2003 cartoon?
Weird in a Can (updated M-F)It's hard to say, honestly, especially since I've read so very little of the original comic series. I think the movie takes most its beats and inspiration from the 80's series. Even beyond that it functions very much like a live action Saturday morning cartoon, complete with the kind of logic that you'd expect from a Saturday Morning cartoon - and I think the movie is very well aware of that fact and embraces it.
If you don't like the 80's cartoon at all compared to the other incarnations, my gut feeling might lean towards 'no', but someone who's more familiar with the original comic run might have a better answer.

Just came back from seeing it; it was a lot of fun and did not take itself in any way seriously. A major improvement over the first film, in my opinion, is that this one definitely focused more on the turtles than April while not ignoring her outright. The inclusion of Casey Jones was a nice touch too, and he also didn't overshadow the real stars of the movie. I think Stephen Amell did a great job with what he had to work with. :-)

Just came back from it with the family, and I agree on the assessment that it was a fun flick. Practically everyone on the hero's side got a chance to shine, and their depiction of Bebop and Rocksteady was excellent, being goofy knuckleheads who were still credible threats. Bit of a shame on Shredder's literal fridging though, since I was hoping for a Krang team-up. Maybe in the sequel.

For me personally: A combination of not finding her that attractive and irritation at people saying she's super hot early in her career.
