I like that. A whole lot. A huge whole lot.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.That's a good image.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThumbs up from me.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI was amused.
I can work up some variations if we want them. Ideas include:
- Change "One Way" to "One Way Only"
- Two arrows pointing either way, but the female-to-male pointing one has been crossed out.
One way signs imply "only". I think it is great as-is. Gets the idea across at a glance, which is fantastic, old image doesn't do that at all.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Me likey.
I don't think it needs to be changed at all. But, I'm a USAin and that's a standard USA sign. Is it equally clear to people not for the US or should we consider using whatever the international "One Way" sign is?
Edit: Hmmm. Looks like it's basically the same idea, only it's a circular blue sign with no words◊

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.I added that as a variation. Personally I don't think it works as well.

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Those two types of One Way sign occur with approximately equal frequency in western Washington, and the OP one fits the other icons better I think.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I'm from England, and I like the original suggestion best; it's simple and there are no clarity issues, at least for my country.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I'm from Sweden, and the original is fine.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.I'm from Chile, our signs aren't like that, but the first one gets the point across just fine (though I also like the second one).
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."The last several post have been what I was wanting, but wasn't very clear in asking for — tropers from outside the US saying whether it worked for them or not.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.That's...astoundingly clever
Works for me.
Reaction Image RepositoryI like the suggested picture way better than the one in the trope's page. It shows the arrow from a guy to a girl and the sign says 'One Way'.

I can't think of anything good for a signature. On further reflection I actually favor the two-arrows one myself, because the First Law of Gender Bending is about the difficulty/impossibility of undoing a male-to-female Gender Bender. But that's just a minor preference.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.The suggested picture is great. The current picture on the page is completely opaque.
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdI like the suggested image, too.
Are we good with the OP's version? I think it does just as well as any of the suggested variants.
