Or there's some androgynous models like Andrej◊ Pejic◊. There's also this◊ interesting photo of a topless man that was banned due to him being styled as a woman, but that wouldn't make a good page image.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I like Pejic. Could really be either gender (I've seen more masculine females, and more feminine men). Unlike the former pic, it's also clear that it's not just image quality that makes it hard to guess.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Seconding Pejic.
The Pejic images are good, though I'm leaning to the second one.
I can't think of anything good for a signature.I prefer the first Pejic image. Also, the second one seems to have a "COCO PEREZ" watermark on it.

Moon◊I lean towards the second one, but the preference is slight.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.
Much better, it gets my vote.
I can't think of anything good for a signature. Is it androgynous? Looks more on the feminine side to me, whether or not it's a he or a she.
The RL section mentions babies.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman. He is. Quite firmly in the middle, too. That might be a good candidate.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.I like Pat. The anime one looks like a girl.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan..

Pat is the only example so far that a) is fictional b) does not look like a girl c) is an intentional effort to appear androgynous (?).
Also: Archangel Gabriel◊ from Constantine.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. The version in #8 is the best one.
I'm also going to argue against any anime/manga pic, or any animated/drawn image at all, really. Those aren't really much better than a pic of V. Not so much that the character looks ambiguous, but the entire style itself. Sure, they might be examples, but one who's not used to the medium wouldn't be able to guess.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Yeah, a photograph of a person is probably best as it's a medium we're all used to and know how to discern gender in.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. How about Desire◊ from The Sandman? Author intentionally aspires to draw him/her as androgynous.
There's always Envy◊.
Link's not working.
I like a lot of the suggestions so far, don't care for the Pat pic.
The Envy picture I picked probably isn't a good one anyway, just so people could get an idea what he/she/it looks like, but I'm just talking Envy in general. If I tried hard enough, I could probably find a picture of "it" that would work well.
Do we have enough suggestions for a crowner?
I think Pat is best, for true androgyny. The others veer too close to "looks like a woman" (and Pejic, when modeling, does actually appear to be a beautiful woman in pretty much every way.)
Desire's a good choice, but I'm not wild about that particular image or any of the most obvious ones that come up in GIS.

Jet-a-Reeno!^ Ditto. It's not "guy that looks like a girl", it's "can't tell either way". Prefer Pat or Gabriel, although the latter might be No Biological Sex. Hm, no image there...
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.
There used to be an image for this article. Wasn't it good? What happened to it? Was there any discussion?
