No one can really match Miyu Matsuki unique voice, to be expected.
Well, it's close enough that I can't tell. Granted, I'm terrible at this stuff, but I say that's good enough of a job for me.
Give the God Eater game thread some love! And thus, 3rei begins:
- Mimi's sure to get more inspiration from Ilya.
- Sapphire's new voice is a suitable replacement. Cool.
- Wishing for an eternity of peaceful days marks the end of those peaceful days.
- The new enemies are like Kuro, I assume? Berserker casts Lightning!
- There was no stopping Miyu being whisked away back to her home world.
- From the blazing sun to a frigid world. It's like Ilya made a quick trip to the Southern Hemisphere.
- "Tanaka" looks like she's gonna be lots of fun.
Nice premiere.
How exactly did she stop it the first time...I mean I watched it, all of it like a month ago...but I have a really terrible memory.
The finale.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.No one came for Miyu last time though? It was just monster!Gil going berserk (and trapping Miyu in the process) and Illya using Zwei Form to defeat him. At no point was she in any risk of being sent back to her homeworld.
Of course, the events of these two episodes up to the abduction were covered in the final chapter of the 2wei manga, minus the fluffy SoL bits, so it went despair -> despair -> Hope Spot -> complete and utter despair (+ nasty cliffhanger).

Give the God Eater game thread some love! That's crazy, mang. So that guy pretty much came for no reason, it looks like so.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Who, Gil? He didn't come for Miyu (well, it's not been explained precisely how the cards ended up in Illya's world, but I'm 95% sure it wasn't intentional). He just partially manifested, and wanted the Holy Grail (why is spoilers for later in 3rei), so went to try and get it. He wasn't trying to retrieve her or anything, just get the Grail.
Pretty much. Even in the manga, he was "Oh hey, since I'm here, I might as well..." after Illya told him to put a leaf on his privates.
Actually, she told him to Please Put Some Clothes On, and he decided that a leaf to cover his junk was good enough since he considers his exposed body to be nothing to be ashamed of. Cue magic bolt spam to convince him to wear some actual clothing.

Give the God Eater game thread some love!Huh, season one got a dub, wonder why we didn't hear more about that.
Fate Grand Order players will know me as Ryusei-Go.I watched the first minute, and then sometime later the Saber Alter fight for shits and giggles.
In the first minute I heard a truly ear-grating Illya voice actress, and dialogue that didn't sync up with the lip flaps. I stopped watching and never picked it up again.
I don't think it's actually terrible, per se (Shirou's voice was pretty good for him), just aggressively mediocre.
So did season 2...2 did.

Secret SignatureBest ramen shop owner showed up?
Give the God Eater game thread some love!Evil Ramen Shop owner showed up, very intense...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I actually feel bad that this episode makes me want to ship Gil with Illya hard, considering what Gilgamesh did to Illya in Unlimited Blade Works. Then again, as the meme goes, Gilgamesh always knows how to steal Illya's heart....
Pretty much all characters with good chemistry in Fate have killed each other one way or another in one route or another.
That's a lot more hilarious than you're makin' it sound.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.If it wasn't for that convenient phone call, Ilya and Tanaka would've been crushed. So commonplace in the Fate Verse.
Kirei pours his brand of evil into something he loves. You will religiously enjoy his mapo tofu, or else you shall suffer the fullest extent of his wraaaath! Also, Ilya's freak outs and being the Straight Man are fun as always.
Heh, I like Gilgalad way more than the mega-douche of the main series.
I did a double take when he ramen shop owner turned out to be Kirei. And he's still evil that is just so wow
But thats what makes it funny
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole! He's totally not evil.
Well, he's pretty much regular Kirei minus the priest and minus any interest in the situation.
So he's basically not evil.
I don't know, the more I see of him the more convinced I am that he's the same evil troll as canon.
Fate Grand Order players will know me as Ryusei-Go.
Significant difference...too apparent, still good.
Referred to VA.
