It's a bit too large too. And blurry.

Supporting pull for not demonstrating the trope.
This would need two panels, probably.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanHm, agree it doesn't show the trope. It looks too much like she's doing the superhero thing where they leap across building rooftops as transportation. Also, the whole "not at the beginning" part. Anybody got any CSI shots we can use?
Fight smart, not fair. That's a Keep Until Better Image Suggested for me: it's obviously a suicide, and we can make the caption tell us it's the start of the work.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!I'd support a pull on quality issues alone.
Yeah don't think the content of the image is grounds for pulling (because how the hell are you gonna illustrate an entire series based on someone's suicide?), but the size of the image is obnoxious and it's cramping the page. And on those grounds I support a pull.
Can anyone splice the "Directed by Lawrence Kasdan" credit line over the shot of the sewed-up slit wrist from this opening credits clip? It's almost to the end of the clip.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I don't know if I can "splice" it, but I can open it in paint and add the lines. I'm downloading the video so I can grab a screen right now, give me a few minutes.
Fight smart, not fair.Dammit, can't get it to work right. Link of shots. Do you know if there's a higher quality version I can grab the letters from? The magic wand tool keeps grabbing the entire sky on the "m" because there's too few black pixels between it and the background. Neither paint, nor paint.net are giving me enough text options to do the letters in a way that won't be obviously latter additions.
Fight smart, not fair.I couldn't find any other copy of the credits online. Maybe one of the other card shots would work better?
I think we need one of the graphics wizards to take a stab at it or tell us we're wasting our time....

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I can grab letters with the wand tool, but it needs to be a different color from the background or it will just grab that too. Let me see if I can find a torrent for it.
Fight smart, not fair.I can't grab letters or delete the hand, so I've typed the words over the frame with the cuts. The typeface is Optima, since the actual one, though familiar, is proving hard for me to track down. It would probably be better to do this a different way, but does this work?
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I'm cool with that one. I've got a torrent if you want a higher quality screen grab.
Fight smart, not fair."Torrent" being..? Whatever it is, it would be nice to have a screen grab that's sharper and such. I used the one from your earlier post.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Same basic shots if you want them. A torrent is how you get digital piracy done. The one Maddy linked was a low quality FLV online, this was a decent quality AVI. A blue ray rip would have been nicer, but this should do it.
Fight smart, not fair.Okay, done. Thanks!
ETA: My one concern about using this image is that it could be disturbing/triggering for someone who has self-harmed or attempted suicide in this manner.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. My concern is that people might think that they're tattoos.
Edit: asked my brother, he said they look like stitches so I think we're good.

Fight smart, not fair.Really? I thought it was someone using a sharpie to count down the days until he kills himself.
... this probably qualifies as NSFW, though. Do we want that?
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Support for the wrist image. Shows both aspects of the trope rather nicely.
"My one concern about using this image is that it could be disturbing/triggering for someone who has self-harmed or attempted suicide in this manner."
Considering that the image has to show (the intent of) suicide, I don't think we can really avoid a situation like that.

I can't see how it would be NSFW. Unless you work somewhere really, really restrictive. It's just a picture of a dead guy's hand.
On the other hand, I can, however, see that it could be a trigger.
On the third hand, it's a trope about suicide. I would expect that someone with problems about triggering on that subject would avoid the page entirely.
On the fourth hand, it's an image, and they can cause much more visceral reactions than words...
By the way, Telcontar, that looks really, really good. The only thing that tipped me that it wasn't simply the title card overlaid was the sharpness of the lettering. It may not be the actual typeface they used, but it's so close as to be virtually indistinguishable. Excellent job.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Madrugada asked me to pop in and take a look see. The very first question that I have is: Why does the trope need an illustration? The concept of suicide seems like one of those human universals that people understand on a cellular level. Even though the images are pulled from works of art and not real life suicides there is still something a little sensationalist about showing suicides or the aftermath.
Probably not what was wanted at this point, but there you go.
Ummm, I have to agree with Black cat here. Don't really think this needs an illustration. If we must give it one, though, I'm okay with the wrist image.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerThe reason we're looking for an image is that it currently has a not-very-good image. It's just barely passable, but we're trying to get away from pulling images and leaving the page imageless, unless there's a very good reason to deliberately leave it imageless.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.If someone is disturbed by the image then they can close the page. As long as it's not overly gory/NSFW it will be fine.
And no page needs an image. But they're nice to have.

This image shows a girl who is probably going to jump off a building. So? This page isn't about just somebody killing themselves. It's about somebody killing themselves at the beginning of something. We can't prove that this image was at the beginning of the movie or anime it was from. Motioning for pull.
