This thread deals with all issues concerning the icons used for namespaces and their buttons, including proposals for icons for new namespaces and bugs with existing icons.
When submitting an icon, the icon images should be exactly 16x16 png with a transparent background. A gif can also be used, but png is usually better. Also, the naming convention is important. It should be the namespace in lowercase.
I am compiling a list of namespaces that need icons, and icons for those name spaces. This would be preferred to be done quickly because I've convinced Eddie to hook them up when I get them complied. I will be editing the OP as we go.
NOTE: Use the link to the sandbox in the thread title to see what still needs to be decided on.
Subpages that still need icons:
- Animation/
- FanWorks/
- Manhua/
- Sandbox/
- Timeline/
Subpages that already have icons hooked up (please note, this list has been collapsed into a note, so that the floating header post isn't huge)
Links to installation-ready icons here and forward.

Do you already have a list of the namespaces?

"Learning without thinking is labor lost. Thinking without learning is dangerous."Anime and Manga already had a topic in this forum, IIRC. Take a look there; I forget if we reached any consensus on anything, but if we did, that'll get you off to a good start.
Moon◊Yeah, this one
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThere is also a thread for a icon for Radio here.
"Learning without thinking is labor lost. Thinking without learning is dangerous."The latter's already decided but stuck in Eddie's development queue.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'm taking it over. I just need all of the icons so I can do it as a batch edit.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickFor Tabletop Game/ I suggest a Chess Rook
I'd like it, but I'm not going to object to something more encompassing.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanLike what?
Id want to avoid picking something that sets a choice between RP Gs, card games, War Games, etc... So I figure Chess is pretty iconic and neutral on its own. Plus icons cant be more than 16 pixels wide, chess pieces look good that way.

Video Game has an icon:
It shows up in Liveblogs, among other places.
There's also a little yen symbol for anime/manga, although I'm meh on that one.
Shout-Out should be on the list, by the way, since it needs a tab pretty badly.

Rhymes with "Protracted."Radar/ (Getting Crap Past the Radar) also has an icon already.
For Shout Out, how about a megaphone?

I like that.
Here are some options I came up with for Tabletop Game. The rook is a nice option, too.
Chess I think gives entirely the wrong impression of Tabletop Games as we don't really trope board games. It's primarily RP Gs and the like. A six sided die might be good. That's used in almost all types of tabletop games.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickTabletopGame.Risk, TabletopGame.Battle Ship, Poker, Checkers, Chess, Scrabble, Clue (the last few which need namespace migration) say otherwise. We do trope those. And raising visibility isn't a bad thing. Reminding that those too are tropeable.

The Awesome Music namespace lacks an icon as well, it's the only one out of all the Awesome namespaces to be in this case. An icon option was proposed in this old thread.

"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori YaeHow about this for Tabletop Games? Board games regularly use six siders too. So do war games and some card games. I think it's the most unifying feature.

I can't think of something better than a d6 for that.

d6 is good. What to use for roleplay/
Drama masks IMO.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Wouldn't that be better for theatre/ ?
Probably :) But the two are really closely related, didn't think of that. (And can't make that work 16x16 anyway, even low-detail is too much.)
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Well, you could probably edit a Phanto sprite from Super Mario Bros. 2; the shape's a bit different, but it's not too far off, and it's cleanly within 16x16. Lemme give it a shot.
