Keep Until Better Image Suggested
Considering the nature of this trope, pretty much anything will be JAFAAC. I don't see us being able to find anything better.
Fixed the article link. Keep Until Better Image Suggested for me.

But come on. I'd be okay with a Just A Face And A Caption image as long as it actually, ya know, looked like a Video game boss.
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"Gods, that Zelda section was a mess.
Anyway, yes, Just A Face And A Caption, and it's not obviously a boss, but considering it's a subpage of a trope that clearly indicates it is about bosses in its title, I'm going to (reluctantly) have to say Keep Until Better Image Suggested.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything. Is there a boss that, besides being considered difficult, is also menacing-looking? I know creepiness is not an important factor, but it can give readers an idea of what to expect from these bosses.

Would this◊ image of the Twilit Bloat work?
For all I know, those are the heroes.
"Only now, after being besieged by a flock of talking ponies, did he really understand what he'd lost. "Nah, that's obviously evil, just not a good "That One Boss".
Fight smart, not fair.(First one) That one works a little better, if you understand that you'll fall down if you go over the edge. That's usually a very annoying part of boss fights.

The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything. How about this? Unlike the current picture, at least you can tell it's a boss.
Yes, but it just shows it in mid-leap. Nothing's showing it actually being a hard boss.

Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Maybe a picture of a boss pulling off That One Attack would work? Like say an RPG boss pulling off a high hitting full party hit attack?
Otherwise, the Zelda ones posted above might work, considering the pitfalls/spikes look (and are) annoying, and the second one shows the boss using a hard to miss move.
they/them || "Forgive me, regent of queer amphibians" - Lt.BGobI'd want a full screen of the butterfly boss, though.

The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Mothula?
I have a message from another time...Moldorm isn't really a That One Boss.
"Only now, after being besieged by a flock of talking ponies, did he really understand what he'd lost. "A lot of people disagree.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Maybe we could go with the Mothula pic, with the caption "By the way, that floor you're standing on is a conveyor belt."
A randomly-oriented and shifting conveyor belt.
I have a message from another time...That second one seems like it should fit something other than this trope...Evil Gloating, maybe?
Put me in the don't care and neither should you boat.
I know I can't tell anyone how to think but this is a subjective audience reaction complaint page that is about as faraway from the wiki's mission any page can get without copious natter and Shock Site imagery. It is held to the loosest of standards and Repair shop votes refused to make it more rigid. To me, it is not worthy of an image picking thread unless some edit war or other rule violation is taking place. If the frequenters and curators don't mind they can have the image.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackThanks for the amusing rant. Now let us continue the discussion for an image, OK?

Sure it may be a subjective, but the picture does nothing at all to suggest a boss fight. When I first saw it, I thought it was just some guys chilling out in a tank. The caption is nonsensical unless you've played the game. (I'd assume. I haven't actually played it.) Seriously, even a picture of Ganondorf smiling would be better, because at least Ganondorf looks like a villain, even though he isn't actually That One Boss.
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"
