OK, the Cubs just have to get through 3 outs without letting in more than one run.
No pressure.

Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects. All the looks of horror blooming on the Cleveland fans' faces...
i. hear. a. sound. Two outs, Edwards Jr. is taking the Indians hitters to school.

8-7...
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects. Is everyone in Chicago and Cleveland hyperventilating yet?

Congrats, Cubs!
i. hear. a. sound. One hundred and eight years. Dashed dreams. Generations come and gone. People who lived full lives who never got to see this.
Congratulations to the 2016 Cubs. Let this one be written into the books for the ages.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)I gotta say this for teams with huge baseball droughts: when they finally win, they do it in style. Boston coming back against the Yankees in '04, and now the Cubs against the Indians in 2016.
I remember thinking a few days ago that it would only be appropriate if the Cubs won after making a comeback like that, but I didn't dare say anything for fear of jinxing it. Goddamn.

Seems appropriate now.
Cubs Won. A curse has been vanquished, and the names will be sang with honor for generations to come.

We look forward to the Cubs' next World Series win in 2124.
i. hear. a. sound.Hooray!!!
Welp, time to add "update entry for Curse" on my to-do list.
Jesus, what a crazy game. A lead-off home run, crazy errors, tying it in the 8th, rain delay in the 9th, and finally winning in the 10th by one run. And with the two teams that have gone the longest without a win. This was truly a game for the ages!
Well, I did go to bed before the 10th, but I recorded it so that'll be fun when I get home from work tonight. Also,
That was written for the 9th inning.
It was written in reference to the end of the game. I mean "the inning" as "whatever inning they're currently in", as it holds true regardless.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien. It's safe to say that, while quite a few things contributed to the Cubs win, the one swing point, the one thing that made it happen, was the David Ross solo home run. Without it, it wouldn't have gone to extra innings; Indians would have won 6-5.
And given that this was the final game he was going to ever play in...now that is how you end a career.

Not against Miami, though. IT'S ALL GONE WRONG!
Anyway, I love Chicago, and it's good to see people happy for a change.
