I noticed a lot of other fan fics were getting their own forum pages, so I thought I should start one for the Tamers Forever Series.

Tamers Forever was one of the very first fan fics I read and the reason that no matter how many So Bad Its Horrible Fics I find, I will always view fan fiction as a valid and entertaining medium.

Describing Tamers Forever is difficult, because the style changes over the course of the series, along with the quality. Tamers Forever begins as a romantic comedy centred around Takato and Rika and I'll admit, that almost put me off the story, especially considering how Narmy the first chapter was. However, I thank God that I stuck with it, because it greatly improves within the second chapter and becomes an incredibly addictive read, especially once the author takes it from 'Romantic Comedy' to 'Romance, Action, Comedy, Adventure' and manages to perfectly balance those Genres so neither feels useless, in fact he'll often use each facet to complement the other. And as for the last book well... Lets just say EPIC has been redefined.

Anyway, I could talk for hours by myself but forums are meant to be collaborative so please, post your own thoughts, did you like the series? Did you hate it? What worked? What didn't? What the hells going to happen in GOSPEL

It's been a while since I read TF (though I check the GOSPEL wiki more or less daily for updates), so I can't give much detail, but I enjoyed the gradual building/revelation of all the behind-the-scenes planning. I also liked the multiple storylines in "Silent Sorrow"; there's just something very fulfilling for me in reading (or watching) a story that has so much going on!

Personally, I was amazed at the sheer depth that Silent Sorrow had, plus the revelation that Holy crap, Takato is a freakin' GOD!!!!!!!

By the way, what are some things you think Tamers Forever should have done differently?

For example, I think that the final fight between Crimson Mode and Daemon should have been more even, rather than a Curbstomp Battle.

On the one hand, it's hard to argue with that. On the other hand, after all the damage that baddie dealt out, it felt good to see him on the receiving end of a good deal of itevil grin. I'm actually rereading the series now, and I can't think of anything it ought to have done too differently.

Hmm, well to each his own. I just thought it felt a little Anticlimatic, especially considering how Bad Ass those two characters were.

By the way, who are your personal Ensemble Darkhorses from the Tamers Forever Series?

Probably Ruki and Pauline- it's amazing how their characters developed, not only in the sense of growing out of AI but also in fleshing out our somewhat silly first impressions. Yeah, odd after saying Pauline didn't fit the profile, but that was for the fandom, while this is for me.

I agree on that count, a personal Ensemble Dark Horse for me would be Piedmon, I just loved his Noble Demon, Spirited Competitor personality. (For some reason I imagined him being voiced by Dameon Clarke). Chaos was awesome too, but since he's one of the lead characters, I'm not sure he counts. Speaking of which, I'm hoping that Evil Takato/Moloch in Gospel will keep Chaos's mannerisms
