Keep Until Better Image Suggested imo
Pull. Parodying a Choose Your Own Adventure is funny, but illustrates the wrong trope.
The definition is that ending A was already produced, but poor early reception forced the author to change it to B and release that — the audience isn't given a choice which ending they see on the final product.

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Keep until better non-spoiler image is suggested.
Is the image even accurate? I don't get why the ending is considered a "thinly veiled compromise".
somethingI'm not sure if I'd rather it be kept or pulled altogether. It took me a minute to figure out what it had to do with the trope. I only understood it once I moused-over and saw that it was a Neon Genesis Evangelion book.
I'm going to say pull; the current image illustrates Multiple Endings more than this trope, and could cause confusion. Not to mention the fact that it makes no sense unless you're familiar with the show anyway.
Reaction Image Repository> Is the image even accurate? I don't get why the ending is considered a "thinly veiled compromise".
The idea was that it was a "thinly-veiled compromise" between fans of the original ending, EoE, the manga and Rebuild and so on. But if you have to explain the joke, it's not that good to begin with.
Wow, that really is a terrible image. I support the pull on the grounds that it fails to demonstrate the trope. And it would make a terrible image for Multiple Endings too.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!Supporting the pull for various aforementioned reasons.

See if you can guess which panel was added in after-the-fact.
I'm not sure how well it would work to demonstrate the trope though. Maybe it if it were edited somehow.

The second and last panels would be good.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!@11: You URL-encode the special characters. A little tricky, but the apostrophe's encoding is %27 . E.g. [1]◊

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.That could work.
Aha, thank you.
Looks good. Any other thoughts?
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!Um, current image has not been pulled yet. How come?
somethingClock is set. If we don't come to a decision on a replacement, I'll pull the pic when the clock expires.
I'm good with the Batman pic.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! How exactly does it illustrate the trope? The defintion is "an ending was changed before release", and all I see in that Batman one is a Not Quite Dead Joker.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.
Okay, I admit: I made that image, some years ago when the rules were looser, and I kind of like it. But it's just a quick joke at Evangelion's expense and is going to fly past everyone not familiar with that franchise; and it doesn't really show the trope.
I think a juxtaposition of two radically different ending shots from different versions of the same show/movie would work better.
