I'm almost satisfied with what I came up with, but haven't heard a second opinion yet. The titles of the trilogy are:

All Minds' Truth - Satisfaction

All Minds' Unity - Rediscovery

All Minds' Flaw - The Error

Every single word is relevant to the story of each book. What would you expect if you saw these titles in a library? Be fair.

Edit: an alternative would be replacing "truth" for "pursuit" and/or "flaw" for "doubt". I'm not sure which is better yet.

TBQH, I'd not think much of them. I see no reason to.

[up] Many people I've met, however, would judge a book by its title. Did you like it, at least?

Looking at the titles again, the subtitles honestly seem a bit redundant, especially after I remember you saying that people reacted negatively to satisfaction. Any reason why you can't just call them "All Minds' Truth", "All Minds' Unity" and "All Minds' Flaw"?

The redundancy is further pronounced with the 3rd one. "Flaw" communicates the point far enough without having a subtitle that is simply "The Error".

Also, why isn't this in the good titles thread?

To get answers more quickly. And because I've been told it's perfectly fine to create new threads like this.

You didn't make much sense, though. How are "Truth" and "Satisfaction" redundant, at all? "Unity" has nothing to do with "rediscovery". They also refer to different, equally important aspects of the story. I agree only with the third title being redundant, and that's why I was considering to replace "flaw" with something else.

The problem is that the subtitles are too important. I'd change the titles before them.

Satisfaction bothered me as a simple title, but I feel that it's not that bad as a subtitle.

Well, redundant in a different way. More in a "why bother with a subtitle when you already have something to differentiate from each other?" sort of way.

But OK.

"why bother with a subtitle when you already have something to differentiate from each other?"

Yeah... I understand. I've thought about it, actually. I've chosen these subtitles long ago, and couldn't simply let go of them. I didn't find a single title that was good enough for the three. Besides, I thought it would be more practical to refer to it as the "All Minds" series than just "All Minds' X" series tongue.

But getting a single title for the three would be ideal, I guess.

Not to act like I'm picking on you or anything, but I also think the subtitles are a bit much; it feels rather like you couldn't pick which one you wanted and so you kept both. Also, subtitles are usually longer than main titles (eg, Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans, not A Song of Two Humans: Sunrise; it looks odd with the shorter title second, but reversing them clearly wouldn't work.

I'd rate these titles as adequate: They'd neither attract me to nor deter me from these books.

This is true.

About the subtitles being longer: is that really important? I would love to get a one word title for the three, but I just didn't find a word awesome enough for that.

If I found a good enough word, though, would it be fine as

"X - All Minds' Truth/Pursuit"

"X - All Minds' Unity"

"X - All Minds' Flaw/Doubt/etc"

?

Hmm... If I find out what "X" is, "All Minds" will not be necessary. What to do...

Why am I the only one struggling so badly with titles? how annoying.

I had trouble with my title until I came up with one that sounds stupid but has a good hidden meaning, which is also a good description of my work.

As for subtitles being longer, that's not always the case, but subtitles are usually for describing the content of that particular installment, which is why they tend to be longer.

Personally, I find Pursuit better than Truth, since Truth sounds more like the third book in a trilogy (as in, finding the truth), as opposed to the first (pursuing a solution).

[up] Adam discovers the Mystery of Time and Space in the first.

All Minds' Pursuit, All Minds' Unity, All Minds' Flaw?

Would these work? I miss my subtitles so much.

Do you guys like "All Minds' Revolution" as a general title for the three (keeping the subtitles)?
