Waking up. Or any single shot rifle.
Please.Crowbar wouldn't work, poor weight distribution. A baseball bat would work better.

'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'Metal baseball bat and a simple handgun. Easy to find, knock em over with the baseball bat and then quick headshot with the gun.
On the other hand, a mop.
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.A fire axe would be a useful choice, since it's pretty much designed for chopping down doors. Handy if you need to make a quick exit and the door is locked. Also good for chopping off limbs if you're in a very tight spot.
I guess we could go... wherever we please.I think we need to look for durable tools that can be weaponized and very quiet range weapons with easily replenishable ammo.
Fireaxes and baseball bats would work nicely, yes.

I won't name any guns, 'cause I'd be hopeless with one. Probably shoot myself in the foot.

Become the fang for those who have none! Help FanserviceFTW!Ghouls.
According to the legends, they feed on corpses, right? Just introduce them in the ecosystem, and we'll get rid of our zombie problem soon enough.

But they seem to know where they are going, the ones who walk away from Omelas.
But that just adds another thing to fight if the Ghouls decide to team up with the zombies/ turn on us after they defeat the zombies.

'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'Why would corpse-eating, near-mindless monsters want to ally with slowly moving corpses?
Of course, once the zombies are extinct the ghouls will turn on humans; but as long as there is easily accessible food around, I don't think that they would really go for armed, more dangerous potential food.

Become the fang for those who have none! Help FanserviceFTW!Yeah, "mindless" is wrong.
What I meant (unless I am wrong again) is that they are mostly driven by their hunger. They don't really form societies or make alliances or anything like that: if they see food, they eat it, and if not, they hunt for it.
But they seem to know where they are going, the ones who walk away from Omelas.
After reading an article that debunked many of popular anti-zombie weapons* I began to wonder what would actually work, in that case.
So far, ones I can think of are a crowbar and a machete. They are extremely durable (as far as I know) and really good at breaking things open and cutting things up, respectively.
Any thoughts?
