Yeah, you probably can cut this.
"Shit, our candidate is a psychopath. Better replace him with Newt Gingrich."First merge any examples that aren't on webcomic time.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Looks like a Stock Phrase to me. Might be worthy of a soft-split Internal Subtrope on Webcomic Time, maybe.
Rhymes with "Protracted."It was written that way for the sake of having an All Blue Entry, which was unique on the wiki at the time. I'm surprised the description's endured unedited since. It was also created when stock phrases were unambiguously acceptable.
That said, though it does need a new description, I don't think it's completely unsalvageable. It's not just a phrase—it's a particular form of Leaning on the Fourth Wall. And it's not quite redundant with Webcomic Time because, as the examples show, the same basic idea occurs frequently outside of webcomics, in other media like video games or TV shows which have differences between time as the characters experience it and time as the readers experience it for reasons other than serialization.
Productivity is for people without internet connections. -Count DorkuJudging by the example folders, Webcomic Time isn't limited to webcomics either.

she her hers hOI!!! i'm tempeWebcomic Time being lampshaded doesn't strike me as worthy of its own trope, given that the nature of most webcomics is parodical in nature.
Fight smart, not fair.Agreed. I think this is better off merged.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickThere is now a single proposition crowner to merge this trope with Webcomic Time here.
Since January 1, 2011 this article has brought 3 people to the wiki from non-search engine links.
Crowner hooked.

Bumping for more votes.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickLooks like we have a winner.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Calling crowner in favour of a merge.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickThere was a consensus to act here. Let's do it to clear out a space for other repairs.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.Redirect established. Do we care about the in-page examples? I don't think I see much worth salvaging....
I also cleaned it out from some of the lists/indexes it was on.

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.BTW, I'm also seeing a few spot cases where the name That Night Felt Like Months is being used in reference to a Schedule Slip rather than Webcomic Time directly.

Crown Description:
Vote up for yes, down for no.
The description is literally "Webcomic stock phrase lampshading Webcomic Time." That's it.*
I don't think it needs its own page.
