I think that whether the contents of the database are about magic or not makes absolutely no difference. This is about the data you need to advance the story just magically being in the database.

Well, there is a genuine problem - this trope is, basically, Omniscient Information Source, but is being used for literally-magical databases regardless of whether they're actually omniscient (or even particularly close). So a rename probably is a good idea. But splitting it up? Not really necessary.
It's a transplant, not a rename. We are making a trope about literally magical databases and another about Omniscient Information Sources.
