There has got to be a screen of Lupin escaping from him laughing with him mad holding those hand cuffs... Hmm.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Motion to pull
Pic doesn't demonstrate the trope at all.
Seconded.
"I know where I am, I just don't know where I am in where I am." - MeSupport, doesn't look sympathetic at all
Kinda sort of shows the trope. Cuz the other guy's smiling, see? Yeah?

Oddly, I just finished recapping a Lupin episode which emphasized the "sympathetic" part. In combination with one of Lupin running from an angry Zenigata, as suggested before, would that work for the trope? Here's a couple I pulled as examples:
None of those photos really demonstate the trope.
I'm missing something here. When was the name changed?
A little while ago. We're trying to get rid of "The [character]" titles.
So, we're getting rid of Inspector Javert and Inspector Lestrade?

Probably not.
Weird, isn't it? Trying to get rid of fan myopia just results in more fan myopia.
I'll go ahead and pull the JAFFAC image.
Goal: Clear, Concise and Wittyactually, Inspector Javert is in trs.

Link to TRS threads in project mode here.My first time on an image picking thread:
To demonstrate this trope, I'm thinking we want a picture of a clear thief, and a clear law-enforcement official (which can be done with many sacks and handcuffs, respectively) but how do we communicate that the cop isn't the hero? Can we use caption for that?
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Zenigata crying over Lupin's death?◊ Could work with a good caption.
Fits more of an Antagonist in Mourning
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.I agree none of mine singly represent the trope, but combining one with a picture of Zenigata in his usual mode of Lupin chasing would probably work. Sort of like a during/after type thing.
Not sure about during/after. I was thinking about a pic with the thief carrying a gold something, just out of reach of the cop with the handcuffs.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.I think that Zenigata/Lupin could still exemplify the trope well. Problem is, not many pics have them being buddy buddy together.

The image on Sympathetic Inspector Antagonist is the former trope name. Unfortunately it doesn't really demonstrate the trope well, unless the trope happens to be "crazy looking guy holding handcuffs". The picture doesn't show that the guy is sympathetic, nor that he's an antagonist, and I'm a bit dubious about the inspector part, too.
