Suggestion : You Are Not Alone

While the current image isn't too bad, I want to sugest panels 9 and 10 from this.

Sorry, doesn't work for me at all. I see what you're going for, but the images are too cluttered and esoteric and don't get the point across for me.

Also, in a perfect world (one where fan myopia was lauded) this◊ would be the pic.

I've looked at the proposal several times today and I have to say it has grown on me. I'm not entirely sure it'll shrink down very well, though.

And I don't have a darn clue what that's supposed to be. I'll assume it has something to do with the trope.

For what possible reason are you proposing something that you yourself admit is fan myopic (and if you're not proposing it, why are you bringing it up)?

As for the OP's suggestion... meh. It doesn't seem particularly better or worse then the current image. As someone who has always disliked the stylization of anime, I wouldn't mind seeing it go up there, but as far as image picking policy goes, I don't think it's enough for a replacement.

Actually that was a joke and never something that I put forward as a serious suggestion (I assumed the sarcasm of "Fan Myopia being lauded" would come through; apparently it did not). Though it does fit the trope, it demonstrates nothing and is obviously meaningless without having seen Doctor Who

As for why I was bringing it up if it wasn't a suggestion, I found it amusing and assumed it would not bother anyone as this seemed to be a fun-loving forum in general. If you have seen the show, it's quite amusing, if not, it isn't hurting anything.

A pothole to Sarcasm Mode would have helped, yes - there are people here who sincerely seem to believe that this site would be better if Fan Myopia was lauded. And again, why bring it up at all if it wasn't a serious suggestion?

Replacement would be better if less cramped.

Fair enough, although I expect even those who would laude Fan Myopia wouldn't put it in those terms. Also, the words "You Are Not Alone" were Arc Words for the pictured scene in Doctor Who. So yeah, the picture would not work and was a joke, but I assumed with the right amount of sarcasm it would be amusing to other tropers.

Also, if we are changing the pic, should we get some more options? It seems like if we are going to pull, we might be able to do better than the webcomic.

There's nothing objectively wrong with the current pic. The OP is arguing that they have a better image, but the current one does not automatically need replacing.

I really don't get the entire context of the current imagine, but I don't dislike it enough to replace it. I just don't think the suggestion is bad either.

What I meant is that it's not a given we're changing anything, not that the current pic is perfect. It works, though.

I don't personally see the suggestion as better.

If it's not broke then don't try to fix it, as they say.
