I saw the forum thread and I initially thought that Sonic would be in a life/car insurance commercial or something

Why would they do such a thing? I mean, what does Sonic got to do with their product anyway?

What's the problem? This is awesome. Sonic's becoming a corporate whore again just like the 90s. And the fact Sonic can be a corporate whore means people care enough to want to advertise with him, which means he's relevant again.

@ Komodin: As a fellow Sonic fan, I wouldn't quite say that, but yes, it is nice to see that he's getting some more recognition, as pleasantly unexpected as it may be.

Still, I wonder why this wasn't brought up in the pre-existing thread we have for this series. Wait, that was cheeky sarcasm.

That's gotta be it. His rings are automatically funneled into his insurance plan to cover his enormous premium.

And do you see how he treats his own vehicles? He just smashes them to walls when he no longer finds them amusing, like in Generations Seaside Hill. Of course he is gonna claim insurance on that!

Or he is looking for insurance for someone else, maybe? Gave him an excuse to run around.
