Miku already had an apparent death anyway
In today's episode we had 3 new songs, two of those were DUETS.
Holy crap that episode
- Yo-yo stunts
- Lilies
- Duets
- Handholding
It's everything I've ever wanted out of Symphogear. Also I think that Shirabe and Kirika have officially become the gayest duo in this show.

Sex-negative outrage culture and the Illuminati are realIt's interesting how the Big Bad is getting humanized but the minions aren't, in direct contrast to the previous seasons Garie is still best girl
Does Kirika x Shirabe still count as subtext?
An episode that ends with something good happening? How strange
Definitely liking the direction of the season so far.
Watch SymphogearReally liking the dolls, they are soo crazy awesome and also pretty smart despite mannerism, anyway cool episode.
The autoscorers seem to be based on the four elements and the four temperaments— Leiur is earth and melancholic, Phara is air and phlegmatic, Garie is water and sanguine, and Micha is fire and choleric. Which is kind of odd, since that's switching around the associated temperaments of air and water
Their names are also based on the four archangels and the four suites of cards in tarot.
Watch SymphogearYou could still technically call Kirika/Shirabe subtext, but they're pushing it about as far as they possibly can.◊ That isn't even including their song lyrics.
Also, Tsubasa's and Chris's duet is called BAYONET CHARGE; in other words, when you put a sword on top of a gun. Sasuga Satelight.
Sex-negative outrage culture and the Illuminati are realI want to skip next week's episode to see two episodes in a row, yet I still want to watch next week's episode anyway despite the fact that I find GX's pacing to be meh. And I don't like Carol that much.
Seriously though, how the hell did Garie (a water-elemental user) can cause fire?

Phonic Gain
Sex-negative outrage culture and the Illuminati are realAll of them also move like a type of Dance. Garie is Ballet, Leuir is Jazz, Phara is Flamenco and I don't know what Micha is doing.
The four of them have a lot of themes going on for them.

I think Micha's just rebelling against the dance theme 'cause she's nuts.
But- I really like how the Autoscorers are always standing around in these really unnatural poses, and all their gestures are similarly weird. Really brings in this Uncanny Valley effect that underscores the fact that they're not human
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."Yeah, I think they've officially binned the subtlety with regards to the lesbianism.
"Yup. That tasted purple."You say that like Hibiki and Miku weren't sleeping in the bed despite the room containing the second one way back in the first season's second episode.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."I used to think that Miku was the yuri queen in this show, but just like in everything else DMJii are a two-in-one package.
Also, Miku mainly acts as Hibiki's housewife. Shirabe and Kirika are more like young lovers.
But in terms of yuri subtext GX is really cranking things up just like they've been cranking up everything else. Maybe they saw how YuYuYu was incredibly blatant with its yuri pandering and wanted to catch up?
Sex-negative outrage culture and the Illuminati are realThe great thing about this is that it's reasonable character progression rather stagnating the way it would in other shows. Hibiki and Miku started off as steady girlfriends in the first series, got their relationship tested in G, and now are confident enough in their relationship to be basically married. Likewise, Kirika and Shirabe were interested in each other in G, but had too much going to do anything about it, and clearly started seriously dating sometime between G and GX
My thought was that with HibiMiku having hit the boring phase they decided to add another major couple
I think Hibiki was a little bit too Oblivious to Love through the first two seasons.
And then the Yandere Death Laser happened.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Holy shit you guys I just watched ep 6 live you are in for a treat I love this show.
I guess it's not as bad for me if I sleep through the livestream since Crunchy picking it up means that subs will be out within hours instead of having to wait a day or so for Commie.
Sex-negative outrage culture and the Illuminati are realIt's out, go and watch it.
Well, did not see any of that coming.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Wait a minute wait a minute
What the FUCK did I just watch
Sex-negative outrage culture and the Illuminati are realApparently there are some Animal Motifs in the Ignite mode transformations.
I don't think that they'll kill off Miku; Hibiki would probably just stop caring about anything, wither away and die. Plus there's absolutely no way they'd kill Nana Mizuki's self-insert and a huge part of their sales along with it.
This season is supposed to be about Hibiki confronting the darkness in her own heart (and judging by her past, there's a lot of it) and overcoming them, exterminating it if you will. She's gonna have to go through some rough patches.
