The only series I've seen in full is New Century, I recently got the whole series off a friend and loved it. So nostalgic. And then lostalgic.
Saw bits of the first 2 seasons as a child, can't remember much from them because I missed so many episodes and saw others out of order. Only saw one episode of Fuzors and none of the stuff after that.
The nostalgia is overbearing.
Good. Fuzors was undoubtedly the lowest point in the series.
I actually didn't mind Fuzors much, even if it did end becoming something of anime killer for the series.
I loved the 3 seasons before it. I would love to see them in a Super Robot Wars game, it would be awesome.

Watch SymphogearWhat made Fuzors the low point?
The concept of Zoids fusing, probably. It was just completely ridiculous.
I recall watching Zoids on Cartoon Network, but I can't recall what happened during the series at all.
Follow me on tumblr!More like Ridiculously AWESOME!
I always found Combining Mecha as being rule of cool. Zoids is no exception to me.
Watch SymphogearRaven was awesome. I liked his Geno Saurer most (that was his first mech right?) The way its whole body turned into a BFG was great.
The storyline in Chaotic Century/Guardian Force was certainly a lot better than New Century Zero but the latter was far more entertaining. Bit Cloud was just more likable than Van.
Though I think Hiltz was the best villain.

Raven started with a Saber Fang. He gets a Geno Saurer eventually, which is evolved into a Geno Breaker at one point.
Zoids is awesome. It's not exactly high art, but it's a fun franchise whenever you want to watch some mecha blowing each other up. I actually prefer New Century to Chaotic Century — the "rambunctious kid finds Ancient Power, uses it to save the world" thing is just a little too cliche for me. Not that New Century is a whole lot better, really, but I still prefer it.
I haven't seen the other anime series. I've heard that Fuzors is pretty crap, but Genesis is supposed to be okay.
Oddly, I just broke out the last two Chaotic Century DV Ds last night for some epic nine-episode-fight-with-Deathstinger action. OP clearly needs to get out of my head.

Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Woah, nine episode fight? Just how long are the first two seasons?
There are 34 episodes in the first season and 33 in the second. The finale isn't straight 9 episodes of one-on-one combat with the Big Bad, but that's how long the total Final Battle takes. Both sides rolling out their superweapons, their armies going up against each other, screwing up each other's plans, etc. It's pretty epic, all told.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Saw the first three seasons, with New Century being my favorite. Leena is just damn awesome there, despite her psychotic trigger happy tendencies...
...I take it back.. She is awesome BECAUSE of her psychotic trigger happy tendencies.
Also the best bit of New Century Zero? This:
I always really liked that music.
Hell yeah, Zoids New Century had quality music overall, but No Future definitely takes the case. Doesn't hurt that the instrumental version only plays during the final battle between Liger Zero and Berserk Fury, which is awesome in and of itself.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Does anyone know the track where Jamie first becomes the Wild Eagle?
I always liked that final fight.
Liger Zero coming out of the smoke cloud and cleaving a chunk of Berserk Fury's face off pretty much set the tone for that fight.
Also, I really like the Shadow Fox, even if it was portrayed as being stronger and more durable than it's supposed to be.
It's the way it runs. All bouncy. I find it Hilarious.
One Strip! One Strip!I loved that scene. Vega's finished whooping the Shadow Fox's ass all over the place and then BAM, Liger Zero pops out of a smoke with none of the fancy-pants armor on, I repeat, NONE of the fancy-pants armor on and tears Vega and the Berserk Fury a new one.
Note that the Fury had previously devastated the LZ Panzer, the Shadow Fox, three Geno Saurers and pretty much everything that stood in its way.

Indeed. Even the fact that Brad / Ballade had managed to damage it before hand (the only damage inflicted on the fury during that fight until face carving began) doesn't take away from the awesomeness.
One Strip! One Strip!Just the title of that track exudes awesomeness. "No Future".
Heh. I just realized. The Liger Zero was demanding people's faces before Optimus made it cool.
And yes, No Future does kick ass.
I get the feeling New Century is the most well liked of the 4 anime series, or am I off on that assumption?

One Strip! One Strip!Seems about right. Guardian Force was awesomely epic, but New Century was epically awesome.
The biggest problem with Fuzors and Genesis is that they tried to deviate from a formula that already worked.
I haven't seen Fuzors or Genesis, so I can't really comment, but I definitely like New Century more than Chaotic Century. I should probably look up Genesis at some point...
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.
Well, since it looks like the old topic died...
Anyone here remember Zoids?
