Not sure if I actually want to make any requests or not, but before I even consider it I'd like to check something: there are people here who draw in a style other then anime/manga-like, correct?

Hm... because I cannot draw for balls and thus my own concepts all suck, I might lurk about here for a while. Since I am working on describing Alice right now, I might as well post a request.

EDIT: Bloody dictionary set to German not telling me about typos...

I guess my style is manga-esque but just un-mamga-esque to not get me in trouble with teachers who loathe anime/manga. XD Well, I am taking a class in caricature, so I can sort of manage that.

I'll do requests for line art only because I am not sure if I can commit to coloring right now.

I linked my DA account on the first page; my art isn't manga-inspired. At least not intentionally.

I'll go through and check everyone's galleries in a bit. I just wanted to know before making any requests, since the anime/manga style is not something I'd want to see my characters drawn in.

@Uximata: Thank you! Sorry for the late reply, I really wasn't expecting anyone else to take my request. Your drawing is most uncanny - I get a bit of a chill from it. Love the idea of frog Ponyo.

@Kazen: I just want to say that I love your Sherlock cariacature.

@nrjxll: Realism is my specialty, insofar as I have one at all. My gallery. I'm terrible with deadlines, so I probably won't take requests unless an open one really intrigues me.

Snowy, it's the thought that matters, not the quality of the art. Try your best. Everyone has to start somewhere.

Here it is. I'm trying to shake off my anime influences and draw different poses.

Also, I can't color unless you like colored pencils.

Why am I doing this? I'm resisting the temptation to ask for anything of Asayu — I doubt I'll have to request any if things go to plan. But I have one character I can't quite visualize, because of her odd mixture of appearance traits. Trying to figure out how a character can simultaneously look like a preteen girl, and clearly have the je nes c'est quois of a cheap, thuggish hitman. So I figure it might make an interesting challenge for someone who's bored.
