Do you all know about Nayuta no Kiseki? It's the newest entry yet to be released in Japan. It's described as a story-heavy Action RPG and mostly unrelated to Kiseki series. The main character is Nayuta Herschel, a 15-years-old astronomer who wants to discover the truth about his -literally- flat world, Lost Heaven.
Though it's speculated that Nayuta no Kiseki will tie Gagharv with Kiseki series. Just look at the character design! The white-haired 'sleeping beauty' greatly resembles Gueld the Moonlight Witch. Or try to compare Nayuta with Forte. And then a speculation said that this game was originally planned as Zwei's sequel, mostly because of mostly same gameplay mechanics. But it assumed "Kiseki" on its name because the brand is extremely popular.
Official website here.
Oh! Why don't we talk about our favorite characters? My favs for this game are Estelle, Olivier and Kloe. But for overall series, it's Estelle, Olivier, Kloe, Anelace, Julia, Loewe/Leonhardt, Lecther, Kevin, Noel, Tio, and Dudley.

The Gagharv Trilogy Page's Main Editor. Finally got around to playing this after I found a new cord for my PSP. Way better than most of the RP Gs I've played lately. This should definitely get more love.
I'd like to edit our wiki page, but it's full of the sequel's spoilers. :(
Hopefully we'll see the sequel this year.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.I'd hope as well, but there hasn't really been any news on the sequel recently. I hope we get it someday, but I'm not sure we'll get it this year.

So, anyone played Nayuta No Kiseki now? I need help to create its page and confirming spoilers.

Big news.
1. Carpe Fulgur has been working (in silence) for over a year on the Second Chapter. They localized it for XSEED. It is now finished* and on its way to a release. (It was just revealed.)
2. The Second Chapter is coming to PSP and Vita in English in 2014.
3. BOTH the First and Second Chapters are coming to Steam in 2014.
* Edit: Okay, maybe not. But it is along its way enough that it has now been revealed.

From what I understand, Tit S 2 is still being worked on by Carpe Fulgur, and then there's also the QA process with Carpe Fulgur and Xseed together. Still, this is great news. I've yet to try chapter 1, but I'll need to do so now. The main question will be which version is best for me, and I think I'll decide that when I learn more about what Xseed has planned for the Steam versions of the games.
Oh, and I forgot to say my favorite part of the whole thing. Xseed. And Carpe Fulgur. Working TOGETHER. I'm not sure if I've ever seen a better team-up

Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft insteadI'm still waiting for XSEED to realize that going DRM-free via GOG or similar sites can do great wonders for rep in the gaming community, even if it means less sales. Even Carpe Fulgur realized this, for they at least attempted to maintain DRM-free avenues upon which to obtain their games (not GOG, mostly Impulse and Gamersgate).

While I agree that that would be awesome, keep in mind that they gotta clear the idea with Falcom too.
Ah yes, that too.
As excited as I am at the current news, shouldn't this thread be moved to the Video Games section?
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundBut we *are* in the Video Games section.
^^ Lolwut.
Gotta say though...not that of a big surprise...and good to see it coming to Steam.
Give me cute or give me...something?Well, we are now. But I originally couldn't find it there, so I used the search function, and it said that the thread was in 'Media'. I honestly thought it meant ' New Media.'
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-Around^Video Game is in media subgroup...
Give me cute or give me...something?I honestly didn't know 'Media' was a subgroup.
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-Around...Anyway, I've played the First Chapter of this game before. Thought it was too easy, never died. I was nonetheless impressed by the story and characters and was more than a little distraught at the cliffhanger ending. Perhaps immediately replaying it at Nightmare with everything allowable carried over will be nice to do.
I've just started playing again too, but I only upgraded to Hard mode. It's still very easy, (though only because my characters are around Lv.Freaking 30,) but I thought that, later in the game, when the enemies get stronger, it might not be so easy. I also remembered just how hard the last boss was on Normal alone, so that too scared me off of Nightmare.
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundI heard from a couple of people that the second game is much harder, is this true?
I've heard this as well, so hopefully so. As for me, if the first one is as easy as you say then I'll likely at least play on Hard Mode. Gotta have a bit of challenge with my game if possible.
Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft insteadTrails in the Sky FC coming to Steam next week. Also coming to GOG around the same time.
The game was supposed to come out on PC last winter, but we didn't hear diddly squat about it until just today. Still, anyone who hasn't played this game and is even the least bit interested in JRPG's needs to pick this up. The gameplay's good, (and doesn't have random encounters, for those worried about that,) the soundtrack's enjoyable, and the characters are very likeable. The story itself is good as well, (if a tad cliche,) but there are two things that elevate it; the darn good telling of the story, as well as the ending. Because that ending foreshadows Trails in the Sky SC, or 'Second Chapter', which will hopefully come out this winter. That's where the meat of the story lies, but don't worry; what you get here is still better than what you'll find in most RPG's, especially with the characters. (And it should still last you anywhere from 40-60 hours, depending on both your playstyle and how many sidequests you do. Because there's a lot of sidequests you can do.) And it's $20 bucks.
So again, if you haven't played this, go to Steam, check out the trailers, see the pictures, and then maybe even read the reviews of the PSP version from a few years back. It's a good, fun game, and better yet, it's just the first installment of what many on the other side of the pacific call one of the greatest JRPG series of our day, as well as those lucky Western souls who are proficient in Japanese. So, to sum up; look up this game, see if it's worth your time, and if it is, buy it, and then (hopefully,) just wait several months for the follow-up. As someone who played the PSP version when it came out, I can say it's definitely worth checking out.

Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundAs someone who also played the PSP version, I can second the above sentiments. I will also add however that it might be a bit too easy on Normal. If you want more challenge, you should probably start on one of the harder settings.
Will it become tedious or will it stay fun?
Like, will the challenge fit the tone of the story?
To an extent. Without giving too much away, shit starts to hit the fan late in the game, and the challenge somewhat increases as well. The last boss in particular is a nightmare. That said, it's not a problem in the least, thanks to the Retry Offset. Whenever you lose a fight — any fight, boss battle or no — you can retry the fight. However, if Retry Offset is turned on, (which I think it is by default,) then in your second try, the fight isn't quite as hard; enemies have less hp, their defense and attack aren't as high, you do more damage, etc. And if you lose a second time, the next retry becomes easier still. So on and so forth until you finally defeat the enemy. The idea is to discourage throwing the game into the nearest window just because you can't win a certain fight. In any other game, I'd be kind of leery of this, but Trails' focus is the story, and this sort of feature allows you to continue on with the story without having to worry about grinding. (Though that usually isn't an issue.) And it's optional, so you don't have to use it if you don't want to.
In any case, most of the game isn't that hard, but it's not a walk in the park either, and there's multiple difficulty options in case you want something more of a challenge. Does any of this answer your question?
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-Aroundi sure hope they bring over the sequel series. i heard it was pretty good.
(I searched forum titles several times, but did not find a thread for this game. If I missed it, remove this topic.)
There hasn't been much good news in months for people who want more Legend Of Heroes VI in English. Xseed has apparently been translating the second installment for PSP, but no release date yet, and they apparently have not had much sales success. Meanwhile, there have been no official statements about releasing the Windows versions in English.
But thanks to this Andriasang article, I learned that Aeria Games (best known for MMORPGs) plans to release the Trails in the Sky trilogy internationally on smartphones. Some online and social functions will be added to the basic gameplay. No clear indication of what international smartphone platforms just yet.
