So I know I'm very late to the party and also that nobody cares about Frozen anymore, but I took the opportunity of finally being able to travel again to London to watch the West End Frozen Musical, and I must say I very much enjoyed it. It brought me back to how I felt the first time I watched the movie (I still have no idea why I loved this story so much but I've ceased questioning it), and the couple of tweaks they made to the story make it work even better in my opinion (such as Elsa deciding to surrender to Hans' men instead of being knocked out and various lovely interactions between the sisters). The effects were impressive, and I'm still surprised at how easily I could forget the presence on stage of Olaf's puppeteer. The few references to Frozen II were fun too.
The theatre was packed, including plenty of little girls dressed as Elsa. I realised afterwards that many of them were probably not born when the movie first came out (the one in front of me was apparently quite shocked by Anna freezing, as I heard her sister and mother whispering to her that she was going to be fine).
For the anecdote, the show I went to had an extreme case of Colorblind Casting, by having not only a white young Elsa and a brown young Anna (which worked rather well since the actress playing Iduna was brown skinned), but also by switching to a white adult Anna and a black adult Elsa (I'm not complaining in any way, especially since she gave a killer Let it go, but I admit I was a bit surprised but the switch). Both Annas were also perfect by the way.
I'm pretty sure I will try to watch it again if it's still aired the next time I visit London.
In other news, I heard a new book set after Frozen II has been released (Polar Night Cast into Darkness). I might give it a try, since I fear this is the only new Frozen material we'll get for a while (if at all).
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.I still enjoy the film Frozen here Although Frozen 2 left a lot of plotholes, I hope it can be fixed when a worthwhile Frozen 3 is released. It's almost 10 years since the 1st film; new merchandise was being manufactured for the film and Let It Go was recorded in 2012
I feel like I've seen that same comment somewhere else
New theme music also a boxWhich one?
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.The one by Seha 13
New theme music also a boxA Frozen III appears to be in the works.
The cold never bothered me anywayIt is, hope the production might be handled better compared to Frozen II.
"A Lady does not start fights but they can finish them"Speaking of Frozen III, I expect Hans to return, either as a villain out for revenge or an ally out for redemption.
I hope it's not another Olaf movie...
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.It's an Olaf movie, with a 20-minute Coco short in front.
If I had a nickel for every film where Emma Stone falls off a balcony... I'd only have two nickels, but weird that there's two of them.(sorry, no Frozen 3 news)
I just realised that the travel outfit Elsa wears during the first part of Frozen II looks suspiciously similar to the outfit she wears in the last act of the Broadway / West End Musical. Would that count as Canon Immigrant or Mythology Gag or just me being deluded?
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.So evidently there's a Frozen IV in development as well.
The cold never bothered me anywaythe desire for a long lasting franchise means a fourth film before a third film is even made!

Of course, after Frozen 3: Infinity War, there must be Frozen 4: Endgame.
Not that I'm complaining.
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.I have the perfect title for one of the films: Frozen Empire
That's pretty original, right?
If I had a nickel for every film where Emma Stone falls off a balcony... I'd only have two nickels, but weird that there's two of them.....Jumping the gun there a bit, Disney? I know Frozen is their most popular franchise but announcing a 4th movie before the third has even come out is a bit much. We don't even know if it will be as successful as the first 2 movies.
I haven't seen Olaf's Frozen Adventure, but the sisters were definitely written well in Frozen Fever — and that's why nobody complains about that.
