The Winstons - Amen, Brother
The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well.Haven't heard nearly enough B-sides in my life... I'm gonna go with this:
A B-side to "Martyr" and my first encounter with Digitalism.
Ones that come to mind are U2's "Sweetest Thing", a b-side from "Where The Streets Have No Name" and The Cure's "The Exploding Boy", a b-side from..."In Between Days"? I think. The Cure have so many terrific b-sides that they made an entire album out of them.
I kind of remembered this being newer than that, and also being kind of inescapable on the radio... then I did the research and found out they later re-recorded it for a Greatest Hits Album and released it as a single, and that's the version I'm familiar with. But yeah, when a re-recorded b-side from ten years ago becomes a pretty big international hit, I guess that's a pretty strong b-side.
I'm pretty fond of Weezer's Blue Album and Pinkerton b-sides: in particular I'd say "Jamie" and "I Just Threw Out The Love Of My Dreams" are among their best songs period.

Earth is the only planet inhabitable by Nicolas Cage.Well, we can't have this thread without mentioning The Beatles, whose B-sides were consistently as good as (if not better than) their A-sides. "Rain" (the flip side of "Paperback Writer") in particular comes to mind, especially since the drumming is Ringo at his finest. Also, trivia, "I Am the Walrus" was a B-side as well, to "Hello, Goodbye".
