Interesting... I've always wondered what a Doctor Who video game would be like.

I myself would have imagined such a game to be similar to a point-and-click adventure game for some reason.

You have a problem with Smith?

Apart from him being a smug prick who seems to actually leech away the charisma of the show, who seems to embody a hypocrisy greater than any other Doctor, apart from being an almost total betrayal of what the Doctor is supposed to embody, who seems to create Oo C moments for every bloody villain, historical figure and show character that he comes into contact with, who seems to see fit to make it so he's the most important Doctor ever without doing anything of importance or making one bit of effort to make us like him apart from wearing that fucking bow tie? No, not really.

Oh. I don't really agree with any of that. Matt Smith's great. Probably the best actor to have the part since Troughton.

He's plenty charismatic, not particularly hypocritical (no more than any of the others anyway), can't really be held responsible for what other people do around him — particualrly villains — is about as ego-maniacal as the next Doctor (unless they're Colin Baker, in which case he pales into insignificance) and looks terrible in a bow tie. Plenty dorky.

I'm guessing that Tennant was your first? I'm probably wrong, but from the way you talk it sounds like it.

Can't get the OP link to work for some reason.

still, I'll keep an eye on it, even if I don't own any playstation devices.

It'll probably just be another adventure game, but it sounds like it might be setting up some serious continuity nods with a device that can basically be called a record of everything, which can also be considered it's own continuity (the in-game device, not the game, just so we're clear).

I love the idea of time travel being a major gameplay component. Games have done this before (Ocarina of Time, Day of the Tentacle) but it's never been explored to a great degree.

Show runners name is Steven Moffat, Matt Smith just plays the Doctor. Thought i'd let you know, seeing as how your blaming Smith for something someone else has done, in your opinion.

There was never a bigger hypocritical Doctor moment than the opening of A Good Man Goes To War. Every Doctor before would see blowing up enemy ships - even those poised to destroy the universe - as an unthinkable act. Smith? He blows up Cybermen ships for shits and giggles. The fuck is that?

I'm aware. I don't blame the man personally, rather I see the begining of his character as the start of a gigantic decline in both the quality of the show and the quality of the Doctor as a character. Thus, if the game is to be centered around his protrayal of the Doctor, said elements are likely to come across with it.

Plus, he's the one with delivery like Shatner.

I thought he disliked guns! 0_0

I mean, I figured at most, it was 9 and to a lesser extent 10 who were most willing to grab weapons. Althought I knew about 5 killing the cyberman (in the episode where Adric dies) and the one with 4 was when he was framed for killing the president of Gallifrey, but what's with the others.

Especially 3. I thought the whole point of Venusian Akikido was so he would need a gun.

Before this goes any further, can I PLEASE request that you take the debates to the actual Doctor Who thread? This isn't the place for them and I really don't want to see this so early on.

Consider the developers past, expect a smaller scale adventure game.

Speaking of the different Doctors, it would be pretty cool to see a videogame that does a kind of Five Doctors scenario.
