Unfortunately, I'm one of the freaks who hasn't played it. Too me, it only looks vaguely robotic, maybe a floating jar with electro-contector hands or something.
"I know where I am, I just don't know where I am in where I am." - MeIt looks more like an animal to me. Even the electric arc to the hands (or whatever's going on there; I haven't played it either) doesn't rule it out; many animals have been known to use electricity. (Even fictional animals within the Zelda series, like Barinade from Ocarina Of Time, use electricity.) That, and the Zelda series is primarily fantasy and rarely sci-fi, so users familiar with it aren't going to expect it to have robots in it.
Besides, using Wall E is fine. They are clearly cute enough, and... fairly evidently robotic, though perhaps we could find some screenshot from the movie making the latter clearer...

"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartYeah, that looks more magical than robotic.
Reaction Image RepositoryAlternatives Wall E ones, for if increasing the cuteness would be worthwhile:

"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartThat first one works perfectly.
What is this "sleep" you speak of?Keep, the current image does what it needs to and finding a variant seems a bit redundant.
Even if it's an improvement?
"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartI wouldn't call it an improvement, I doubt anyone looked at the current image and thought "they look magical" like it had any bearing on the image's intent, to demonstrate Cute Machines. They look cute and they're unquestionably machines, what more do you need?
It's a solution to a problem which doesn't exist.

The improvement isn't in the "machines" part, but the "cute" part. It isn't necessary so to speak, but it's still an improvement.
"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartOh, alright but I think the current one is cuter though, it's kinda Meetcute.
Tend to think 5 #1 is an improvement. Slathering it on with a trowel.
The first from post 5 looks like a perfect image for The Woobie, but for this I really prefer the current one.

Either of #5's suggestions works fine for me...lean toward the second just because it's clearer.
WALL-E is the cutest thing in the universe, and EVE is also cute, but a different kind of cute (WALL-E is clunky but sad-looking and small, thus adorable; EVE is somewhat bigger, floats, has cartoonish limbs, and is shaped like an egg), so I'd be in favor of the image of both of them together.
Please consider supporting my artwork on PatreonI'm not really seeing the "cute" part.
What is this "sleep" you speak of?Tachikomas can be very cute, but it usually depends on their dialogue, either hearing it or seeing the subtitles. I can't look at the pic right now to make a call one way or the other.
Yeah there's really not any cuteness in the Tachikoma pic
Yeah I only grabbed a random image from the hundreds that showed up on google. I can dig up actual screenshots, especially from the Tachikomatic Days shorts at the end of the episodes.
A shot from one of those shorts would work better than that pic, now that I've had a chance to look at it.
I'll try to grab a few shots tomorrow.
Image Links I'm tempted to say. The only reason I would change Wall-E is because that robot is on enough pages already but to just replace it with another Wall-E picture? Image Links, just use those.
