"...If you say so," the pale girl replied. She still thought Valvatorez was rather a little too ostentatious for her liking, but he at least had some idea of what was going on, unlike everyone else. It would do well to keep on his good side for the time being.

My... Inner weapon? Cryptic nonsense... He sounds just like Mer... Mer...? Hmmm... She looked down at her sword quizzically, wondering what secrets it really hid. Still, it is the best idea I've heard so far...

Even though she couldn't remember who she was, the sword had seemed important to her, enough that she refused to let go of it. Something... Something in the back of her mind seemed to tell her that the sword meant something, that it was the greatest clue to her true identity. That she was... She was...

...Knight of the Sword...

...Promised Victory...

...gra Mainyu Angra Mainyu Angra Mai...

For a moment, she clutched her temple in pain. "Ugh... A-angra..." she groaned, before shaking off the headache. "Your brand of nonsense does not work for me, Valvatorez. I hear only one name, but I know it is not my own."

"It's a good brand of nonsense." Valvatorez stated, closing in on the sword and reaching out as if to touch the black blade with his gloved forefinger. Stopping an inch away from the weapon, he instead traced a pattern in the air, leaving behind glowing runes that followed the pattern left by his dancing digit.

Soon, the words formed a line and whirled around the sword before sinking into the blade. Nodding, the vampire then proceeded to pull apart the very space in front of the sword, opening a gash in the dimensions that led into a dark place... "Shall we?" He inquired, glancing into the void with curiosity. "If you survive, both you and your weapon shall get a bit stronger."

Even though her memory had been wiped, the pale girl was sure that she had never seen this kind of sorcery before. She circled the portal Valvatorez had opened, eyeing it with equal measures of fascination and scorn.

"I know not what you have done to my blade," she said, her cold, golden eyes turning back to the vampire, "But you say that it will make it and me stronger. How... How does that work? And where does this portal lead to?"

"This portal..." Val indicated the rift as if to demonstrate the fact that it was indeed what he called it. "Leads into your weapon's very soul itself, a world that displays the essential essence of what your weapon is, its purpose and so on."

"Now... if you can survive whatever lurks within your weapon- and it is indeed morbid, much darker than a normal blade ought to be, then you shall be able to not only learn of your name, but also strengthen your very weapon itself, making its attributes rise simply by entering deeper within your sword and unlocking more area. In your case, surely there is a clue within about your true identity." He paused, looking back at the portal.

"However, such a thing is rather risky. The weapon itself shall fight back, and you have to assert your mastery over it by overcoming the trials set within its world before you shall unlock its true potential. Should you choose to find answers within this sword, heed my warning. Never let down your guard, for if you do, then you shall die a most horrible death." He let that last statement float in the air.

"Hmph, if it fights back, then I shall just have to show it who the true master really is," the pale girl replied, her overwhelming comfidence in her abilities overcoming any potential fear she may have had about entering the weapon. "If it leads to finding out who I am, then I will strike down anything that dares oppose me!"

She grabbed on to Valvatorez's arm and was about to drag him in with her, before a thought occured to her. "...How do we get out once we've found my name? Somehow I doubt we can just leave the way we came in..."

"Mr. Gency Exit." Val replied, holding up what appeared to be a key card. "When you're done with your weapon, we shall simply use this to return to the outside world. Despite its stupid name, it was made with intent to force an exit from the hostile Item World, where we are bound."

"Though it's a one time use, so make sure to truly finish your business before returning to this environment." The demon said, obviously not wanting to waste his only Mr. Gency Exit until he procured more of the thing.

"...Your branch of sorcery continues to perplex me, Valvatorez, but I feel that if I continue to question it, we will never get anything done." The pale girl tightened her grip on the vampire's arm and pulled him into the dark portal. "Let's get this over with as quickly as possible."

Darkness seemed to engulf every inch of her vision. Perpetual blackness seemed to fill the entirity of the sword's world, and the only notable sound inside was a constant drip, drip, dripping. As her eyes slowly adjusted to the area, she realised she was in what looked like... Another ruined city? A dead world, crumbling apart as something, some thick, inky black something ate away at its foundations. And there, sitting in front of her, was... Some kind of demon? She knew not what it was, only that it felt... Wrong, that it's very presence inside her sword was something that should not be. Just looking at it made her feel sick, her already pale skin turning ever whiter as the thing oozed towards her and Valvatorez, its ribbon-like tendrils waving in the wind.

"Wh-what... Valvatorez, what is that? And why is it in my sword!?"

"Your sword is a reflection of what you have done and your accomplishments. For such a thing to exist means either you have committed evil... or have become corrupted." Valvatorez stated, seeing no use in coddling a human.

"In any case, I don't like the looks of that thing..." He stated, narrowing his eyes and pulling an ebony long sword from within the confines of his cape. "Arm yourself, Lass." He stated, tossing the weapon at the empty handed Servant. "I'll fight with my fists for now." He said, assuming a stance and clenching his hands loosely.

Without any trouble, the pale girl caught the sword and instantly assumed a combat stance. "Corrupted? I..." She began, but whatever she was about to say never got out, as the thing in front of her suddenly lashed out, its "ribbons" stretching out and wrapping around her sword-arm. She tried to pull her arm back, in an attempt to merely rip the tendrils off, but she found she could not move it.

Had she known her sword's name, and how it was one the greatest of all holy swords, she might have realised that anything that could corrupt and overcome it would have to be immensely powerful, far more than she could ever be.

"Wh-what!? Why... Unh-hand me, y-you... You..."

"Saaabeeer..." an ethereal voice called, its girlish tones seemingly echoing from all around. "Isn't it easy to just give in? Come to me, Saber..."

"You have met such a powerful evil and let it lodge in your weapon... I don't know whether to be amazed or annoyed..." Valvatorez muttered, walking closer to the thing's tentacles as it latched upon the girl.

"Unhand my charge, you rotten excuse for a weapon." He then grasped the limbs surrounding Saber's arm in his iron grip, the look on his face rather annoyed than anything else.

<Searching for something?> he asked Dragovich conversationally. In the distance, something howled; accompanied by the clatter of a many jointed arthropod making its way through the fog.

Somehow, Valvatorez managed to rip the tendrils gripping the pale girl's arm, freeing her from the thing's grasp. "Ah! Ah... I... Give you my thanks, Valvatorez... And I know not what this is or how it got inside my sword, but... But somehow it knows me."

Once more the thing whipped out its ribbony tendrils, but this time she was prepared, bringing her sword up at just the right moment and slicing it right off. "Answer me, whatever you may be! You called me "Saber"... Is that my name!?"

As if in answer, the air around her was filled with a dark, sinister giggle; as though whatever was inside her sword was merely toying with her.

"Saber... Come to us... Give in to us... It will feel so nice, you and me and Angra Maiyu, such sweet suffering we shall cause, my little Saber, eheheh..."

As the voice ringed out throughout the world of the sword, another one of the shadowy things appeared. And another. And another. And more and more, until the pale girl and Valvatorez were surrounded on all sides by seemingly hundreds of the sickening things.

Meanwhile, the robot in flesh form was headed in a westerly direction, tiring of the fleshy drivel. He was a large distance from the rest of the group, but he only got so far when he began to falter. He felt strange, as though some mechanical organ was stirring, sapping the energy from the rest of him. His vision was fading, and parts of him that weren't even joints began to creak. Finally, he lost consciousness and dropped to the floor.

Almost instantly, his flesh and clothes hardened into metal plates and changed colour to simple metal. The plates rearranged and restructured, making the body more robotic in appearance, and the torso even more spherical. A compartment opened up, letting out an antennae and attaching a gun-like device to his waist. The transformation completes, the robot changed from stock grey to white. The new robot lay on the ground, just beginning to stir. Anyone just arriving would never make the connection between the man in a hat and the round droid lying there now.

"Saber... It sounds more like a title than a name..." Val stated as he let the clenched tendrils in his hands drift down to the ground. "In any case, things are rather getting too dangerous..." At the sight of the countless numbers of squirming things, Val quickly produced the key card. "Though I think I am not too shabby at combat, these things are too much for us at the moment, in our current state."

"Mr. Gency Exit." He implored, before swiping the card down through the air and ripping the dimension a new one. Throwing away the crumbling piece of plastic, Valvatorez nodded to the girl. "Let us leave this accursed place for now, since we have at least some info and it would do us no good if we're dead." He then jumped through the dimensional rift and back into the pungent environment of the outside world.

"Saber" merely nodded in response, not wanting to be in this forsaken place for even a moment longer, and lept into the rift right after Valvatorez.

"...We'll be waiting, Saber... You cannot deny us forever..."

...Was this really why her sword was important? It... Did not seem right. Valvatorez had to be right, something had corrupted it. This thing... This Angra Mainyu, and this girl... Whoever they were, she knew one thing, and that was that she feared them, whoever they were.

She fell to her knees as soon as she returned to the outside world, breathing heavily as her sword lay by her side. Her eyes, wide open with fear, gazed upon it, noticing that it had the same colours as those shadowy things inside it. "Ah... Ah... So, I have a... A cursed blade, it seems..."

A fairly average day. Doing some tests, little human person running about pushing buttons, giving a good rush to the emotions. Playing table tennis with a couple of panels and a companion cube. Creating funny little frankenturrets. Scrolling through War and Peace, not understanding what all the hoo-hah was about. Yup, it's good to be an all-powerful, genius, bloody king of the world.

"Hey, ey, ey, y...."

Who said that?

"Are you alright?"

Then he saw Valvatorez and the pale girl jump into some kind of portal he creaed via the girl's sword. "Leaving the party already? Just when everything was getting exciting?! OH COME ON!!"

A beat.

"Who am I kidding, doubt even booze and decent chicks would revitalize this party," the Joker said with an annoyed tone.

Then he saw some of the others going in separate directions. "OOOOOO, a CAMPING trip! I just LOVE camping! The great outdoors, the open sky, the blood sucking insects! Now which direction.....?"

Joker put his hand over his eyes, looking across the landscape. And then. "AHA!! North! I shall go NORTH to prosperity! All those other directions are SO overrated! East is too anime, everybody goes West, and South is where toilets have their domain! North needs some lovin' people! WHO'S WITH ME?!?" the clown calls out to everyone else.

Las Vegas. The city has turned into a small scale battlefield. Soldiers, tanks, and helicopters are rolling into the streets, trying to fend for themselves. Behind them, is a large, light grey mini mech, with two weapon pods on each side of the shoulder. The mini mech's helmet glows with ominous orange as it scans around the field. It left behind the remaining troops stationed there to move somewhere else.

And then, a barrage of missiles suddenly devastate the garrison.

The Casino is the last defense line for the mech's forces, and then it saw the assailant - A mini mech that is nearly the same as the other, but with a dark grey and red paint job - And most importantly, the insignia of the President.

"RIIIIICCCCHHHHHAAAARRRRDDDD!!" the assailant shouted.

And then the light grey mech's pilot starts to chuckle, and it's his turn to speak.

"Michael! You're so sweet! You canceled all my dreams and plans, so now I got a nice little present for you! HERE!"

A large Helicopter filled with weapons on both wings and a tank with a large cannon charging up appeared from the front and the back respectively, aiming at the assailant.

"I'm going to ask you one last thing! What do you want in your tombstone!? What are you going to say, huh, Michael!?"

Michael wasted no time landing a shot on Richard's mech with a Sniper Cannon on the torso, dealing some damage on him. After that, he quickly took out the helicopter and the tank, and he went inside the Casino to fight his nemesis. A lot of explosions occur throughout the casino as Michael and Richard fight. Finally, they met at a circular arena surrounded by a fountain. Richard was about to fire his Railgun, but Michael lets everything loose with all his weapons on both of his pods, and he fires all of them at Richard.

"HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW!?" The President shouted as Richard hears those last words coming from his enemy.

At this point, Richard was stuck in a cocoon. He swiftly punched his way out of the cocoon, bringing him to a sight with many unfamiliar faces. He has a pistol and a knife, but no mech.

"MIIIIIIICCCCCHHHHHHAAAAEEEEEELLLLLLL!!!!"

The shout Richard made was so loud, that people could be annoyed by him. Richard started to run around to the Eastern area, trying to find his mech.

Saber looked up and instinctively grabbed her sword. Oh, it is just the child...

"Unless... Unless this "Yukari" also calls herself "Angra Mainyu", I highly doubt it..." she spat out, putting far more contempt on the words "Angra Mainyu" than she realised. Slowly, she got to her feet, still clinging on to the black blade. Even if it was corrupted and cursed, it was still her sword. "Where we were was no place for a child to hear of. At least I finally have a name for myself... Saber..."

No matter how many times she went over it in her head, though, the name seemed... Not quite right. As though she was called that, but it wasn't her real name. Maybe Valvatorez was right and it was a title, but... It was all she had for now, so it would have to suffice.
