[up]I was going to post in Eclipse about how the sky of Tokyo suddenly cleared of storms and were suddenly flashing in multicoloured squares, the sun replaced by a giant disco ball, and all the demons started dancing. Then Thor would start singing Never Gonna Give You Up.

If only I'd had that idea about 4 hours earlier...

Noob: I know. I just wanted to show a little bit of the mooks. For example, there's a Russian named Boris Chekov who angsts over his name being completely stereotypical.

Okay... I'm going to give this one more try:

  • Name: Nouda the Terrible.
  • Appearance: Technically none. It's true form is implied to be inconceivably vast and horrible, but on the physical plane it can manifest as basically anything, and indeed it must do so in order to interact.
  • Universe: The Bartimaeus Trilogy.
  • Background: The Bartimaeus Trilogy takes place in a world much like our own, except magic exists and throughout human history most civilizations have used magicians to maintain their rule. These magicians draw their power from summoning otherworldly spirits. Of these spirits, Nouda is known to be among the most powerful and destructive ever called to Earth. It has been summoned by some of the most tyrannical and powerful regimes through the history of the world to serve them, very much against Nouda's will. These summonings usually ended badly for the regimes in question, as Nouda has a history of breaking free from their magical bonds and laying waste to the nations who tried to control it.
  • Powers/Abilities: Nouda possesses extreme physical strength, and resistance to attacks of physical or magical natures. However it is weak to silver, and to a lesser extent iron. It can see on multiple plains of reality, allowing it to penetrate magical disguises and concealments to see the true form of any being. It can also shapeshift into basically any form it chooses, which is necessary when interacting with beings of the physical world. It also makes use of a variety of magical spells, attacks, defenses, charms and manipulations.
  • Personality: Brutal and unsympathetic at the best of times, Nouda’s millennia of slavery on Earth have left it angry, bitter and vengeful, consumed with hatred and resentment towards magicians and by extension all of humanity. It can however be fairly benevolent to other spirits, if still quick to anger if they fail to show it the proper respect.
  • Mooks: Lesser spirits of all stripes.

  • Name:Makuta Teridax, AKA: The Makuta
  • Appearance: I really can't find a good one. Have this for now.
  • Universe:Bionicle

  • Background:Teridax is leader of the brotherhood of Makuta, a group of beings created by the great spirit(AI) Mata-nui after the great spirit went creative/defective. Their primary role was the creation of wildlife for the bionicle universe-all the Rahi currently inhabiting the bionicle universe has its source from them- thus they were gifted with great power, both intellectually and physically, being able to preform great feats of the mind and strength most Toa would shy away from. Their chosen element was Shadow, not that it was ominous or anything....but after a millennium these super smart, super powerful scientists got bored of life; very bored indeed, they wanted more power than they should have, more glory- thus using complex schemes they brought down the great spirit itself. By then they had evolved past the point of requiring a physical body, they had become a gaseous substance that was more a consciousness than anything: they required no sleep, no food, no air.

  • Powers/Abilities:
    • Shadow element: As the Leader of the Brotherhood, Teridax is the most powerful Makuta all round. He may be outclassed in single areas such as fighting ability or in ingenuity of hand but his power in shadow manipulation is top notch, even Chirox would be hard put in a duel to out class him in this aspect.
    • Extremely skilled tactician: If nothing else, Teridax is a good hand at gambits. How else did a single being bring down the great Mata-nui, god of the bionicle universe. He has good mind for other beings, knowing their passions, motivations, to hopefully one day use it against them or for himself.
    • Mask of shadows: This is his mask, one worthy of the true master of Shadows. It allows Teridax great power in shadow and in every sense of the word: the mask allows Teridax to determine the darker parts in the minds of those around him, letting him can 'see' their darkest nightmares, their most hidden passions and their most troubling anxieties. Such a mask power is a great gift to a tactical mind such as he.
    • Super human strength, endurance and speed: Strength: I'd say he'd be able to lift around half a ton without using gravity control. Endurance: He's a robot, Totally mechanical therefore he won't run out of steam.
    • Teridax is a powerful psychic force- an unguarded mind can easily be exploited by his cunning and persuasion and guarded minds must be strong indeed if they are to withstand the force of his mental attacks that as a rule, leave the victim's mind in shreds. One look at Karzahni would be enough of an example why not to get in his way. (Karzahni, a legendary character of horror and fear in the Bionicle-verse was reduced to a muttering wreck after Teridax saw personally to his 'taming')
  • Kraata powers: All Makuta have the innate ability to access 42 Kraata powers. These along with Shadow manipulation form the Makuta's formidable arsenal in combat. I'll link a list of these soon.
    • Chain Lightning - Controlled devastating bolts of chain lightning that leaped between multiple targets.
    • Disintegration - Had the power to reduce even protodermis to dust. (Non-living things only and not on fellow overlords)
    • Hunger - Allows Teridax to drain energy from something he touches. In the case of living things, drain energy till they feel too tired to move. It takes time and cannot kill.
    • Power Scream- emits a high frequency sonic blast that may deafen, or blast away an opponent. It can shatter things of less resistance.
  • Personality: Cool, rational but ambitious. Teridax is one for control and getting things done his own way. He it was, that proposed the overthrowing of Mata-nui to the brotherhood. It was also him that saw the plan come to fruition. He is of the pragmatic sort: why let Heroes go to waste when they can unwittingly do so much of your dirty work for you? Why should you keep someone who has far outlived their usefulness? He has no honor and never will, winning is the only thing that matters. The ends always, always justifies the means, especially if the ends has him sitting lord over a bunch of fools who tried to oppose him.

So, is this alright?

Reserving any judgement before seeing a list of 42 powers, but I can already say that what's on there is okay.

I'm only giving him those out of 42. For now. He might wish for them later maybe, unlikely.

But just those.

Alrighty, time to give this a real go...This is a gamble, as the character is ridiculously hard to pull off effectively, but colonial just couldn't stop getting me excited about joining Eclipse as her, so here I am.

So, who did I finally decide on? ...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

Mab, queen of air and darkness, monarch of the Unseelie court of the fae

She's a fairy queen, in case you didn't pick up on that.

And the rest is hidden until it's done.tongue

  • Name: Seraph-XS 919 (Please don't actually refer to her as this, "Seraph" is so much easier!)
  • Universe: Darkspore, at some point during the events of the game.
  • Appearance: Since new accounts can't post external links, just Google "Seraph-XS Darkspore."
  • Powers: Just like in the game, she has a grenade launcher for her right arm, capable of shooting grenades (obviously) as well as attractor bombs and proximity mines. Seraph is also capable of placing auto-turrets.
As for future abilities, I have omitted Seraph's ability to become invisible for brief periods of time. I plan to acquire it later.
  • Personality: Inventive, cautious, and prefers to work in a team or squad. She was granted free will by Crogenitor Suzu, but instead of this gift being used to live a happy life, she had to use it to indiscriminately kill the Darkspore that invaded her home planet. She hopes that some day, she will never have to kill again, but at the rate the Darkspore keep coming, that day is unlikely to come soon.
  • Mooks: Other Seraph-XS units. To avoid confusion, they'll be colored red.

[up][up] Okay, generally I don't do this, because I'm the biggest defender of characters first powers second... but even if you have Seraph get the ability to be invisible, that's not gonna be much useful compared to the current roster of Overlords. Not only because we have extremely powerful people, but because most of them would be able to see through Seraph in an instant. Now, knowing she'll most likely be underpowered for a while, are you still OK with using her?

  • Name: 02 (Can also be typed as Zero Two or 02)
  • Universe: Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, shortly after his defeat.
  • Appearance: See avatar. (Why must reducing file size be such a chore? *headdesk*)
  • Powers: Can fire exploding energy balls, sprout a thorny tail that produces poisonous gas, and (obviously) fly. In the future, he may gain the ability to possess an enemy's mook and transform them into Dark Matter (as long as the other player gives consent.)
  • Personality: 02 is the reincarnation of Zero, the evil ruler of the Dark Matter. As such, he is deceptive and calculating, often pulling the strings to achieve the desired results. He holds nothing but contempt for the forces of good and plans to corrupt every last hero and villain, especially if Kirby or one of his friends is there...
  • Mooks: Dark Matter.

That's, uh... that's better, but still a bit underpowered. It can work, of course.

Let me give you an example before I accept. The most underpowered person on the game is Vaas. He has a magical tiger with laser eyes. And this is before his next wish, which might give him laser eyes as well. Wanna go ahead with this character?

Also, possessing a foe will not work on player-controlled characters.
