It's like choosing between dysentery and gonorrhea.

Do decisions like this mean CN Executives are stupid and uncaring or caring about the channel but still make mistakes-ers?

Damn shame. I don't want CN to fail. They just need new and better leadership, that's all.

And decisions like THIS should encourgae Snyder/Sorcher get replaced already - if only to keep people interested in Western animation a little more than they are now.

Would ANYONE in this thread please explain why this is is such horrible news? Exactly what is SO bad about a very popular web series getting its own cartoon show? Because so far everyones reactions to this is just coming off a very odd to me.

If they are resorting to using stuff from the internet for their cartoons, they are running out of ideas. Not to mention it will probably be another crappy, flash-animated, unfunny piece of shite.

Because instead of it, Cartoon Network could make a new cartoon made by a guy who works/worked on one of their original shows

It's a one-joke premise (annoying orange is annoying and gets squashed) that appeals to the same audience that finds Fred funny. And the expanded Fred (in the form of two movies) failed like Paris Hilton did in high school.

And the Glenn Beck cartoon would seem to basically be a cartoon version of The Half Hour News Hour: tired right-wing humor delivered in a mean-spirited tone. I've also read his stand-up basically amounts to this.

A show based off of unfunny Internet videos? Sign me up!

The end is nigh

To be honest, I have never heard of this "Annoying Orange," But after looking it up, something tells me that I probably wasn't going to like it. I have seen what it looked like. I just never bother to looked at its title.

So, is this Cartoon Network's future? Showcasing internet popularity on TV just to increase ratings? Whatever happened to the Cartoon Network that tried to revive animation to its former glory after the nosedive it took in the 60's and 70's?

We can only hope that it well get forgotten under all the actually good CN cartoons airing now.

That means just warn people not to watch and don't pay attention to it ourselves, right?

I'm already on it- I'll continue to watch what I even bother with CN for, thank you very much - otherwise I would do more, like kick Snyder/Sorcher's asses myself. I'd go to jail - but hey, that's what it takes to be a real hero sometimes...
