The trailer makes me teary-eyed.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/Not to mention Spielburg is directing, not just producing.
Oh snap. It's starring Loki. Gonna have to watch it now.
Theres sex and death and human grime in monochrome for one thin dime and at least the trains all run on time but they dont go anywhere.Just saw it earlier today - definitely Academy Award material. Its pacing feels a lot like a book or play, consisting of sections with a clear introduction, climax and conclusion. There is a lot of Tear Jerker if you are sensitive to that sort of thing.
I personally thought that the trailer and the premise were absurdly dorky and narmtastic, but I'm debating seeing it just because Sure, Why Not?
"Shit, our candidate is a psychopath. Better replace him with Newt Gingrich."I saw it on opening day. Started out kind of badly, but it got progressively better with each story arc. It wasn't anything special, but overall I thought was decent.

I read a review on Something Awful that intrigued me - 10/10 for "Horse Acting"?
Pages Needing ImagesSaw it today and loved it. It's everything you could as for: a war film, an animal movie, a drama, an adventure and it's even got some funny moments. If you've ever had a pet that you loved like a child or a best friend, see this movie.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/Sort of agree. It's a bit cliche, and slightly 'narmy' in places, but overall it was pretty grand stuff. Plus, it had Benedict Cumberbatch in it
The fact that every single owner of the horse died except for Albert was extreme Narm for some reason :/ It just seemed sort of unnecessary, especially the death of the girl, which was completely off-screen; they overdid it, I think. Then again, it is based on a true story, so I don't know.

When I walk on the street counting my steps, magic keeps silent and reality stalks me.I laughed at the scene where the girl rode the horse over the hill... straight into the german camp.
Oh god, I laughed hard for some reason. I'm a terrible person
The scene with the german and british soldiers collaberating to save the horse from the barbed wire was probably my favourite scene. It was a great way of showcasing the goodness of humanity
"Contests fought between two masters are decided instantly. An invisible battle is now raging between the two of them." Lulu vs Schneizel
New film coming out for you animal lovers.
I do not expect the hose to be alive by the end of the film.
Seems to have an interesting production crew. We have Spielberg co-producing, and John Williams on the score.
