Looking at the chapter list, I'm assuming that would be "Chapter 71: Ignition". The just-published final chapter is 77.
I'm pleased it made it across the finishing line. I'm waiting til the epub comes out then I'm reading the whole sucker from the beginning.

Feels kinda weird to see it end. I mean I was getting burnt on it halfway through the 60s, and yet still jumped at the latest chapter the day of release.

I've finished it.
It left me, tired, drained, slightly unsatisfied, and really, really sad. But life goes on for the survivors, and BJ's goes on.
Also, that the twist near the absolute final end, it made things just happy enough that things may not be okay for the three survivors, but time has softened the war's impact, and the world's gone on to be a slightly more cynical, but more or less a new rebirth of what Equestria started as in the show.
For the world, things will be okay.
As for the others, life goes on.
It was worth it in the end, though I'm profoundly sad to see it go.
Goodbye Blackjack, it's been one hell of a ride, but an honor.

I can't believe how unmotivated I am to read the final chapter. So long as it's there, Project Horizons is still incomplete. Once I read it...it's all over for good.

Question: does any kind of map exist? It'd be nice to know where everything is and if there are any locations at all that sidefics are "allowed" to still explore.
Not really, everyone has their own ideas for how things were set up.
As to 'allowed to' ummm, anything you want that doesn't directly contradict the original.

Do you mean Origin Story? It's not quite a new FOE story, it's set in the same 'verse, but it's a Daring Do story set during the War. With some stuff flashing back to how Daring got involved in doing what she does in the first place.

Has the Epub version of Horizons been updated yet?
Maybe? The nallar.me .txt and .html versions are both current (there'd been technical problems there for a while, but were fixed and it seems okay now), so I'd guess if that's where you were getting them and they were automatically generated like the text and .html, they'd be updated.
And...Project Horizons is done!
