Yeah, it should be pulled.
"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartMotion to pull
Doesn't make any sense if you aren't already familiar with it.
Also, I'm cutting the caption for pointless lolcat speech.

Reaction Image Repository+1 to pull; not only do I have no idea how that's supposed to tie to the trope, the quality's horrible.
Support pull due to bad quality and unfriendliness to non-Zelda fans
Support pull.
Fight smart, not fair.Five votes to pull, no objections. Pulled.

How about the famous image of Sonic in SSBM? [1]◊
You're talkin' a lot, but you're not sayin' anything. — Talking Heads, 1977It seems like it would be easily mistaken for an image from SSBB, which does have Sonic in it.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! And to someone who doesn't play SSB, it's just a random screenshot.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyYou must defeat Shen Long to stand a chance!◊
If it were possible to convey that famous Electronic Gaming Monthly April Fool's gag that served as the direct inspiration for both Akuma and Gouken in Street Fighter into a picture for this site, then we'd be good to go.
Problem is, the text is hardly readable as it is.
That would work for an Image Links pic, though.
^^ And it also qualifies as a Wall of Text.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.I think the ideal image would be this one: [1]◊
Add a caption about how it "obviously" says "L is real 2401" which is "obviously" a clue to unlocking Luigi, and you have an example that everybody will get.

That could work if you include a link in the caption to one of those "L is real" hoax sites
Maybe give it an on-image thought bubble like "What does this say ... 'how to unlock Luigi'?"
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.I have absolutely no idea what is going on in that Mario pic.
The ULOZ that it's referring to is what the inscription says.
Hm. That's okay. Just okay. Is there something that's more obviously a source of video game urban legends?
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I still don't get it. Having never played a 3D Mario game in my entire life, I just do. not. get it.
Having played Mario games isn't necessary. The inscription is illegible; there is an urban legend about what it actually says.
I think that is sort of weak, but maybe something like that could be stronger.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. If somebody can find a more illustrative picture, that's great. But I think the Mario 64 screenshot with a good caption is probably the best we'll come up with. It's one of the most famous examples of this trope, and even, if you've never heard of it, the right caption can convey that players interpreted the blurry text as a hidden message.
"This writing under the star must be a hidden clue! I think it says 'L is real 2401'...or maybe 'I buried Paul'..."
Looks good. I will suggest linking this article to the "L is Real" text to provide more context
If I wasn't a Zelda fan, I would have no clue what was going on. This image in no way illustrates the trope. It's just hands holding up the triforce. The caption doesn't help either. What do you think?
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"
