So yeah, the cast suddenly tripled in size and it was kinda weird.

We got some Qwenthur backstory, though I'm not sure what we were supposed to take from it, aside from his father being a good guy. Something about changing fortunes? Also pretty sure the reporter girl is the noble daughter from his tale.

Princess looked pretty happy this episode.

Man, who would have though that Frolaytia would be so awkward in front of cameras.

I rather like the black uniform girl, even if she's way too quick to draw a gun on people. it was quite a shock when she got shot. Man, that last part came out of nowhere.

Set up episode, but a good one, and makes me pumped to see what will happen next.

When Qwenther started talking about his backstory, I went 'wait, where did this come from?' and went back a minute, thinking I'd missed something. But apparently he just brought that up out of the blue.

I don't know why but episode 18 seemed really short to me. Not much happened though except the reveal about the capabilities of the enemy object and what the plot is really about but it was reasonably good setup for the climax of the arc.

Yeah, I was caught off guard by the sudden end as well.

But man, the enemy Object has some bullshit capabilities even for an Object. I don't even want to think the amount of thrust required to keep lifting it like that.

Half of the new squad died already. Well, not like I expected them to stay for long. Also, I was right that the reporter girl is the one from Qwenthur tale.

This episode reminds us that Legitimate Kingdom is not above acting like petty toughs themselves. Of course Faith Organization turns out to be way worse.

Episode 19 was quite entertaining with something like an overarching plot developing towards the end of the episode. The diamond shrapnel was a cool idea, the battle between the Baby Magnum and the Wing Balancer was very nicely done and the outbreak of civil war should prove interesting. It also looks like the Commissar has joined Qwenthur's harem.

Yeah, pretty good episode.

Qwenthur made a career of destroying Objects. As if a small mining frame could stop him.

Princess is really good, even with terrain disadvantage she almost had him before she diverted her attention to saving Qwenthur.

IR sensor are way too easy to fool, should have gone with radar.

It seems that there are elements in Legitimate Kingdom that are just as bad as other factions. Thankfully the civilians got away.

Wait, so now there is a civil war going on? I though the other guys would feign ignorance instead of going for a confrontation.

In the end Qwenthur didn't meet with the idol. Which might be for the best since Princess might have killed him if he did.

So there's some almighty List that could led one to destroy Objects? What a weird plot development.

It's always Quenther though who attracts the women. I kind of expected it, given who the author is, but it's still stupid.

He's heroic, dashing and very good at winning against impossible odds. It would be weirder if he wasn't popular with women.

Made a character page for the show's page.

Need to double check if I go the faction names correctly.

That List had been mentioned before right, as the product of an AI directed project on how to destroy objects or something, a few episodes back.

Episode 20 is another good one with some backstory for Granny and a nice twist ending I was expecting the third Object to defect to the rebels but instead we got a whole squadron of secret Objects turning up.

Oh come, on Qwenthur is right, this is absurd. The enemy just pulled six fucking Objects out of his ass.I know they are trying to up the ante, but this is just insane. Objects are supposed to be super expansive, how can a single Noble afford six of them, much less build them in secret? And I can't imagine how will they get out of this one.

Speaking of which why can the 24th battalion actually prepare equipment and tactics to support their Object while 37th always relies on Qwenthur just winging it as he goes along?

My favorite part of the episode was the sniper action with Qwenthur as the spotter. Pretty badass.

Oh yeah, also the names just get worse as the time go on. I didn't think they could top Honeysuckle, but City Slicker edges him out as the most idiotic name of all.

Episode 21: The mercenary Maid Corps are quite fun. When they turned up last episode I had a feeling the Object squadron would be low Gen ones but they also turn out to be drones so things could turn interesting if they could hack them. Granny was cool this episode as well.

I knew something was off about Cityslicker having seven Objects at his disposal. That they are cheaply made drones mostly there for intimidation makes more sense. He's basically bluffing.

Maid Squad is every bit as silly as I expected them to be, maybe even more. They are also mercenaries. Brilliant.

So now all they need to do is hold off Indigo Plasma long enough for Princess to get maintenance and they are good to go. This show is nothing if not fun.

I think it was pretty obvious there was something lesser about the other 6 Objects from what we got to see before -single cannons are a dead giveaway.

Also, based Arai Satomi, the show may be trash but holy fuck just having her performing made it worth it.

I'm watching the dub, so I'm only on episode 17, but this show is every bit as Kamachi as Index. I actually like it, despite the Index-level harem shenanigans, because the concept is cool and Qwenser is a pretty good main character.

Episode 22:

Shoddy knock off Objects, with shoddy knock off armor and shoddy knock off A.I. got taken down easily, proving once and for all that cutting costs on giant engines of war never does any good. And how appropriate that City Slicker got blasted by his own gas. Serves him right.

Granny got away with desertion rather easily. Meanwhile Qwenthur and Havia got chewed for three hours after saving the day. There is no justice.

Princess has a really good sense of timing.

Aww, so the Battlefield Cleanup Service was made up, and it's just Information Union spies? Not those guys again, they are boring.

What's with Information Union obsession with A.I anyway? It's pretty obvious by now that A.I. kinda sucks and can be exploited very easily. It's no match for a living Elite.

So, more Ohoho next week? She survived her last two appearances, but as they say third time the charm.

[up]This show makes no sense most of the time, but is just so much fun It's hard to care.

Episode 22 was good, I am very much in favour of villains getting hoisted by their own petard. The solution to the Drone Objects was good. I thought they would try to get them to shoot themselves but the use of thermal shock was nice. It is a little disappointing that the maids were Intelligence Union but they were still fun and I hope they appear again before the end of the series.

Episode 23:

This episode was really heavy handed with Guru pretty much stating outright what's it's all about. Also couldn't help but notice that this would all been avoided if they just disabled the tower as soon as they arrived instead of going to the house first.

Now let's see how they save Princess. No matter how ominous the preview wants to sound it's obvious they'll succeed.

[up]I did wonder why they didn't take the obvious route as well. This last arc definitely seems to have some interesting potential what with them drawing lot threads from some of the previous arcs. I agree that saving the Princess is pretty much a given, it will be interesting to see how they go about it though.

I would laugh if the mirror Qwenthur made for her was the key for breaking up the hypnosis.
