Besides being JAFAAC, the added Visual Pun makes it extra-confusing.

No, actually, he's right. Ed is both literally and figuratively a great example of this trope, but merely having a derpy grin on doesn't show he's The Hyena. How about something like this?

I dont like it, The Visual Pun element is a bad thing, as it does not show what it is laughing at let alone that it is actually laughing. (it looks like its about to bite something)

That doesn't show what she's laughing at either. I think the problem with illustrating this trope is that we can't just have a character laughing; it needs to show that the character laughs at anything.

My only problem with the Ed pic is that the point of the trope is that this character laughs at everything. For all we know, somebody just told a joke, and that's what he's laughing at.

Yeah, you're right. Noting the character, he really fits Laughing Mad more than this trope.

Please don't suggest replacing the Joker pic with that one...that's a can of worms I care nothing about opening.

Taking a tangent for a second...anyone got a source for the second quote on Laughing Mad? Google just turned up that page.

I'm not suggesting changing the picture at Laughing Mad; I'm just saying that the picture isn't a good one for this page because it shows Laughing Mad better than it does this trope, and we wouldn't want to confuse people. The pic that's on Laughing Mad now is fine.
