This picture from a Cracked article would make a good picture. Yes, the caption would note that it's the Konami Code.

Eh, that's more of a parody than this trope. This is more about supposedly going for accuracy and getting it horribly wrong.

I'd suggest something more like this. I have no idea if that's real or a parody, but it at least looks like it could be real, whereas the Konami Code image is obviously a photoshop.

That's a parody as well. Plus these "you fail" tropes are meant to be all just plain artistic license tropes anyway.

Raptor-riding Jesus seems like a case of actual Young Earth Creationism. That said, we definitely need to find a place for it.

New meaning to the phrase "raptor Jesus". Other than that, meh.

Someone holding a sign that badly misquotes or misinterprets a Biblical passage sounds like a good idea.

So... The WBC...?

The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.

[up] Eh...I thought about them, but I'd really rather not give them any kind of publicity. I was thinking some generic protester.

What about the famous Pulp Fiction Bible passage, juxtaposed with the real one? Would be all text, however.

A protester might work, although we'd have to be careful about the Rule Of Cautious Editing Judgement.

[up]I had that idea too, but I'm not sure how well it would work for people who haven't seen the movie. And like you said, it would be all text.

[up][up] Yeah that'd be better as a quote.
