I recall Chitoge doing it the chaste way,via juice.God that sounds wrong.
Seishirou was just too bold there.
Secret SignatureChapter.
Shut up Marika.
Secret SignatureActually, I don't blame Marika here. She's just trying to help, which is an amazing improvement for her. If anything, I'm annoyed that the author wants to insist that romantic love is the most important emotion and someone can't value friends or family more.

It's Marika the obsessive stalker, of course to her romantic love is the most important.
In other news finally a gosh darn confession.
It's not just that. It's that she's shown to be right.
I'm actually having more fun with Patissier-chan right now.
I think it's more Yui isn't considering her own feelings than Marika being right about romantic love.

It's funny, I thought Komi breaking the status quo even a little would elicit more reactions.
Well, we're waiting to see if it actually sticks before getting our hopes up. Well, I am anyway. Also, Yui just doesn't matter much. The three main characters are Raku, Chitoge and Onodera. Yui is about the seventh or so at best.

Not in my heart she's not!
Yeah you've always got to wait for the next chapter after a cliffhanger before you get ahead of yourself.
Although Yui is so unimportant I don't think there needs to be a copout, which is pleasing. I hope things actually get a resolution here.
Just read chapter 130 (the "interview")β¦ okay, that one was pretty funny. Couldn't Mimiko become a main character or something?

So I've decided to pick up his series. I've read more than half of this thread starting from like page 40 and feel like I know most of what I need to about the main characters, which is apparently not much.
So I'll probably be hanging around her now. Even if I end up disliking the series just coming here and reading all of your posts is more than enough reasons to keep going with it.
The first chapter was good at least.

Status Quo becomes the absolute God of this series after volume 11 or 12, but if you take it as an episodic comedy without being regardant on plot advancement, it's still pretty amusing overall (well, I haven't completely caught up yet). The first 3-4 volumes are a bit tedious though.

I for one am still holding out hope for actual plot progression based on recent events, likely because I'm very bad at pattern recognition. I'm probably the only one gullible enough to think this.
deviantArt | TwitterChapter. Well, no copout. I didn't expect one there anyway. Still, dealt with more quickly than I expected. Now time for the fallout.
Raku handled that well, I think. Finally, someone's romantic plotline is resolved.
I don't expect another resolution any time soon, but I think Marika and Tsugumi will both go through something similar and it will only be Chitoge/Onodera in competition for the "finale".
Just read the "foreign princess" arc. Welp, that's one hell of a Contrived Coincidence. These chapters were kind of heartwarming though. And I liked Raku recognizing Chitoge instantly even in disguise.
I would just like to see one day a story where two characters must stick together, but where the language barrier is⦠actually there, without translating device or the stranger knowing the local language for some reason.
edit: Uhβ¦
So that's where we're starting from⦠it's more severe than I thought. >.> That chapter would be infuriating if I cared a bit more. Especially after that Ruri/Shuu chapter where an Onodera look-alike actually confesses.

Almost caught up, I just read the Claude-is-a-Scumbag arc. It was really painful to see poor Chitoge like this, so it was quite a moving arc overall.
Andβ¦ in the end it was all for nothing. Or was it? Raku has gone from "Gorilla girl" to "I don't totally hate you" to "you're my friend" to "you're my best friend", so I guess there is something you could vaguely call progressβ¦
Now it seems to key-and-locket plot has completely vanished. I don't even remember the last time it was mentionedβ¦
Spoiler.
Ie had lied to Yui about the marriage partner, but she returns to China anyway.
Secret SignatureHehβ¦ not a bad chapter (oh yeah, I've caught up now). Are we sure she's returning to China though? From the last dialogue it rather seems she's decided to stayβ¦
Nice bit of Chinese dialogue at the end.
So Ie unexpectedly ends up being the most effective back-pusher of the series. That doesn't make me like her, but good point for her I guess.
Has the series been improving slightly in the latest few chapters, or is it just me?
Great reaction face for Chitoge. 10/10.
And this was just one of the occasional chapters that moves the main plot along. Such arcs usually tend to be fairly decent. We'll probably get another in a few months. Maybe a bit quicker if we're lucky, we seem to have been getting more recently.
I can't believe one of the girls actually got a proper resolution to her arc. And nice one at that. Also glad that they are not putting Yui on a bus after she's out of running, she works much better as the big sister character anyway.
Funny how at any point she could just order Ie to STFU. It's the easiest solutions that are easy to miss.
Raku should stop lying to himself, the person that comes to his mind when he thinks of who he likes is Chitoge - that should be answer enough. Well, at least he handled Yui confession well.
He's not allowed to realize that until graduation draws closer though!
I'm pretty sure that's Tsugumi⦠unless that kiss on the hip in the onsen counts.
