And its going to be only 8 episodes long.

Planning on seeing this one. It looks like it's based off the OVA but they're changing the character designs.

I'm hoping it still keeps the OVA voice actors.

I really liked the OVA. Looking forward to this.

One of the things that intrigued me about the original OVA was how much it left up in the air, giving it a sense of mystery. While certainly I'd like to see the anime go into more detail than the OVA did, I hope they keep that sense of mystery.

Although I'm still not sure if it's Dead Master or Black Devil Girl.

You know what? Me too. Making it a little more comprehensible would be good, but just explaining everything would suck all the fun right out of it. At the very least, give the viewer all the pieces and have them put them together themselves.

And it's Dead Master. I don't think Black Devil Girl was in the OVA at all.

She wasn't. It's just the glasses are throwing me off. I mean, they're REALLY unexpected.

Anime is keeping OVA voice actors I can make jokes about how Kana Asumi is making up for missing Madoka Magica!

BRS gets a redesigned coat. DM had a near-complete overhaul. STR... had her thighhighs change colour

Also; does anyone recognize the blonde in the illustrations? The crown reminds me of Dragon Slayer, but the rest of the design is unfamiliar

It's not like Strength had more than ten seconds of screen-time in the OAV.

The yellow girl seems new, but she bears a resemblance to one of the Apostles in the BRS Video Game.

Overanalysing what little information we have because I'm bored:

• Mato seems to be depressed. The only time she's smiling in the trailer of the art is when she's with Yomi. Odd change in characterization
• Yuu's new hairclip is not replicated on STR. Red Herring or double Red Herring?
• Besides the changed jacket, BRS is missing her scars and has a different sword. Lack of scars may be due to BGS showing up later
• DM appears to be wearing a bridal veil. I think they may be trying to find the point at which subtext becomes text
• The trailer shows DM acting as a villain, but her position◊ in the large cast image◊ is most often used for Distressed Damsels. Also, the trailer's semi-final scene is her trapped in chains
• BRS and DM are the only otherworld characters in the trailer. Presumably the others show up later in the series
• STR doesn't show up in the smaller illustration◊, and has the least presence in the larger, despite being on the cast list, which doesn't include BGS, who was also in the OVA. I suspect she may spend some time playing Mysterious Watcher
• BGS gets the most villainish shots in both illustrations. Probably going to be the final villain
• Blonde girl looks like her design is partially based on SZZU, though the personalities appear different

Well in the original OVA there was the implication that Yomi was Dead Master and the entire battle was to save her from herself.

So that could just be an extension of the damsel in distress.

I'm still getting a sort of Five-Man Band impression, myself.

Huh, one more human than otherworlder. Probably won't have an equivalent, since the list seems to be matching them...

Oh, and I do like Chariot's design

There might be an other-worlder we haven't seen yet. I've noticed that one of the new characters introduced wears an armband like Black Matagi.

Saya? She's clearly Black Gold Saw

I was thinking one of them would be just a normal person with a fairly important role in the normal world, like a teacher or a normal friend or something.

I just noticed there's like centimetre ruler on the right-hand side of the page... why is that there? o_O

So, bed head and a nightgown... maybe she's a bedridden ill girl? She looks paler in the new picture, too.

There's a third trailer up. Looks good.

The website has also updated with new info about the characters, but it's all still in moonrunes - someone on the trope page may have found a translation, but I can't find the source.
