I was thinking of Dahl's The Twits, but I'm having an hard time finding the illustrations on the internet... I'll try some more. :|

I imagine that would require a big collage to demonstrate.

God what a name... seriously wtf I was thinking it would have something to do with an actual Gaslight "the use of flammable gas such as natural gas as a light source".....

Anyway umm The whole There are four lights thing from Startrek TNG?

That's a different trope...I remember using that as a page pic a few months back.

I was thinking of two pictures in particular, to keep it short; namely the one with Mr.Twit fixing the wife's cane and the one in which she looks confused walking alongside the husband with the long cane, then covering the "guess you're getting crazy" part with the caption. I might have to scan them from the book myself, but I won't be able to do so before tomorrow. Internet is still failing me at the moment.

We can do a little reading... I like it, it nails the trope.

I like the xkcd. Maybe move the first frame above the second to allow it to be a bit wider and easier to read, although it's legible now.

I wouldn't say "perfect", but the xkcd is adequate. If we can't find anything better, I'm okay with it.

I got a semi-spoiler from a video game I can whip up.

It's from 5 days a stranger. In game there are two paintings. One is a of a landscape and the other is of a person. During the course of events the portrait grows older and the a shadow apears in the landscape. Your character doesn't take note of either, so it's meant for the player to notice.

Homestuck has some scenes of Bro Flash Stepping moving around his Creepy Puppet. They are gifs, but can easily be chopped into separate frames.

Also, why are the lolcats being pulled?

Most of the time they don't illustrate the tropes well, and in general we try to shy away from using Memetic Mutation images if better options are available.

Meme images are now an insta-pull criteria.

I'm not crazy about the Homestuck pics, at all.

Because the only alternatives we've seen would require massive collages to do.

3 panels with wall of text is better than 3 or 4 frame collage? Ok then.

How small would the smallest possible version of that Homestuck pic you posted be? If you can get it at a decent size, I'd support it.

Like plenum said, we can do a little reading. It's not especially text-heavy and it works.

The textiness of the XKCD pic doesn't bother me in the least.
