I agree. Regina's done too much evil to be redeemed.
^^^^ I see it more as "if Henry hadn't tried to prove to Emma Operation: Cobra was real by eating the turnover, he wouldn't be lying in a hospital bed".
Though that's a good point, that trusting Regina was also a big contributor. Though all I see that doing is making Emma go after her even more, not necessarily seeing that the Curse is definitely real. She knew Regina was up to no good before, but she still didn't believe in the Curse.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton! It's true that Regina poisoning Henry doesn't mean that the curse is real, but considering how many characters have been telling Emma to believe lately, I think that Emma will just stop fighting against the idea and at least seriously consider it.
Just watched the whole series over the last week.
I've determined three things:
1. This show is awesome.
2. Rumpelstiltskin is one badass motherfucker.
3. Emma is kind of boring. She may get more interesting when she stops being all "no, everything that everyone is telling me isn't real, la la la la la." But at the moment, I like the supporting cast more.
Mura: -flips the bird to veterinary science with one hand and Euclidean geometry with the other-I agree that the supporting cast are generally more interesting than Emma. Emma seems to exist mainly to get bounced around between schemes. Henry acts more like a Chosen One than she does as well. Don't get me wrong, I like Emma, but you're right in that she hasn't been as interesting as everyone else.
It's cause she gets dragged around by the plot. If the writers let her drive more often, she'd be more interesting. But as it is, they want her to passively believe, not actively find reasons to believe, and so she becomes boring, because they need her to draw out the plot.
ophelia, you're breaking my heartI did not like the smile on Regina's face when the magic came back.
Trump delenda estNow that there's magic again, Regina will have full use of her magic. Not good.
During that last scene with Snow and Charming in the magic world, they talked about re-taking the kingdom. By the time of the pilot, they are king and queen. I figure that season two will show their ascending the throne by force.
I'm guessing that Regina couldn't follow through on her promise to the Mad Hatter, which is why she didn't fulfill her end of the bargain just to shut him up.
So, now Hopper knows that Henry was right all along. Hopper and Henry's next meeting should be interesting to see.
Anyone else amused by Emma's attempt to kill the dragon with a gun only for destiny to laugh and say 'nope, sorry, sword only!'?

Total shame that didn't work, actually. Would have added an interesting wrinkle to the thematics.

This post has been powered by avenging fury and a balanced diet.Yeah, that was pretty funny. One thing bothered me about that sequence, actually. How did Emma manage to throw the sword straight into the dragon's throat? It's hard enough to hold the thing when you have no practice with swords, even harder to throw it, and almost impossible to make it go where you want to go. Is the sword magic? I don't remember it being a magic sword, but I could be wrong.
I'm just going with "the sword was magic", or at least that it's magic in our world, because that hit wasn't due to Emma's skill.
Rumplestiltskin's decision to bring the magic back seems pretty idiotic. Regina was exposed as the evil queen, had no supporters left, had no magic left, everything was working in favour of the good guys - and then she gets her magic back, which tilts the balance in her favour. Rumple was already very powerful in the town; why would he give her an advantage like that? Does he think that having his magic back will help him find Baelfire in whatever form he's in in "our" world? How could the magic possibly help with that, or give him a shot a reconciling with his son, when the very reason Baelfire wanted to bring him here was to get him away from magic?
I think he did it to get the most cruel revenge possible. You know? Killing Regina might not satisfy him.
You lost!I finally finished my finals until thursday! I can now enjoy an episode of...
...
WHY DOES THE SITE NOT LET ME WATCH IT? IT HAS THE DESCRIPTION THERE AND EVERYTHING.
WRY.
Read my stories!HULU IT.
Also, sweet baby Moses. This episode was fast-paced.
character notes. lol at Belle going, "oh, yeah, my boyfriend is kiiiinda high on magic. I'd forgotten that." also wondering what the fallout is gonna be for David's douchebaggery this past season. and Emma's fight with the dragon felt like a video game - shoot X amount to weaken the boss, and then come in for a finishing blow.
I think he didn't really care what Regina did with the magic, as long as he was able to get Baelfire to safety. Now that Belle's in the scenario, there's probably going to be a bit of revenge going on. But for now, the chaos will probably protect him.

ophelia, you're breaking my heart"I just talked to Rumpelstitskin and the evil queen about breaking a curse."
I just had one of those "This is actually the show I'm actually watching" moments.
Emma's "To hell with this!" line made me crack up.
Oh, Rumpel, what have you done? Have you forgotten what happened last time you went crazy over magic in front of Belle?
Henry's going to be insufferable for the next few episodes, isn't he?
So now that there's magic, what happens to August? Does he become "a real boy" again, or does he just go back to being a living puppet? I can't wait to see his reunion with Geppeto now that they both know what's going on.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!Hey, the kid deserves some "I told you so!"s. People have been telling him his entire life that he was nuts. Let him bask in glory for a while.
More importantly, now that the magic is back, what about red? She does not have the hood with her, but I bet shes a Werewolf again.

You lost!Well, last we saw her, she seemed to have gained some level of control over the wolfs actions - she was acting as force recon, which would not be possible if she was still mindless in wolf form. Re; Why gold brought magic to the world "There will be time enough for that. All the time in the world". Rumplestiltskin was immortal. Gold being human would be subject to time with the curse broken, so in addition to everything else, I figure that he simply had no particular intention of winding up in a nursery home and then a grave after centuries of scheming. That said, I dont think he is the dark one again - That particular curse was specific to farie tale land according to the blue farie.
He has to be. He was only immortal and only had magic because he was the Dark One. If he isn't the Dark One, he still has no power.
And anyway, he doesn't care about who's winning between Regina and everyone else- for all we know, he could want to play them to his own ends more.
Mura: -flips the bird to veterinary science with one hand and Euclidean geometry with the other-You know, I wouldn't put past Rumple finding a way to get his "Dark One" powers back, if anything it fits his character entirely: He was unwilling to give it up even when it meant losing his son; He is already bringing magic to Earth; His ideal case scenario can only be having powers AND his son back.
Now I have to wonder, with the entire town knowing and Regina with her powers back, what they will do? I can see at least a dozen people trying to escape and getting in a absurdly unlikely car accident, before everyone agrees to stay in Storybrooke, unsure how Regina will re-start her war now.
I hope they show a scene where Gepeto runs and finds Pinochio wooden body and they have to find a way to bring him back? maybe grind a real world diamond for the fairies to use?
"Here to welcome our new golden-eyed overlords," said Addy promptly. Now that Emma's fulfilled her destined role, I think Pinocchio will turn back into flesh.
Speaking of fairy dust, I hope that the curse breaking means Nova isn't technically a nun anymore and she can get together with Grumpy. They're two of the few people on the side of the angels who didn't get a happy ending in the fairy tale world.

Actually, quite a few good people didn't get happy endings in the fairy tale world. Hansel and Gretel wandered the woods forever, Regina trapped Belle, the Mad Hatter was stuck in Wonderland, Cinderella had her husband disappear, and Sheriff Graham lost his heart.
Oh, right. Them. There's also Red, who found out she was a werewolf when she was picking bits of true love out of her teeth. At least she got all self-actualized in the modern world. Also in the modern world, Hansel and Gretel are with their dad and Cinderella and Belle are with their loves. Leroy and Astrid's happiest ending was making sure the nuns made the rent another month. Huntsman Graham is beyond help, and Regina, Rumplestilskin, Genie, and Jefferson are all villains. By my count, Grumpy and Nova are the ones who've most got a little happiness coming.
I think she might be tempted to do the right thing but in the end won't. I really don't see Regina as a redeemable character.
