I stopped looking up information about Camping because I was not happy with people reacting in pure mockery and extrapolating from this one event to attack a much greater group of people.
Like Seattle Athiests group. According to a source, they planned an after-Rapture party with no other purpose than to make fun of this event.

This is not amusing. These people supposedly preach "freedom from religion". I would guess that they claim you can be moral and virtuous without religion and God. I don't agree with that, but if they claim it, how about actually showing it?
This attitude they hold, gathering just to watch a movie they oppose and mock it, does not reflect morality and virtue. This isn't helping or caring for anyone. This is trolling, not very different from Westboro's attitude.

Having an attitude of a troll when there are people that lost fortunes or lives over the rapture prophecy event doesn't sound convincing to the claim that they can live morally. I don't see what they're doing as anything but deliberately being disrespectful for the sake of mockery, something that's frowned upon even on Internet sites.
Westboro Church protests many things, but usually, what it does is technically just voicing opinions and often not legally prohibited. Otherwise, we would've seen its members convicted of criminal charges by now.
I would say these people give nonreligious people (actually trying to be nice and good citizens) a bad name over stunts like this. It's the same thing that Westboro does to Christians.
