1. neither, but if i had to choose, mario.

2. neither, and if i had to choose, id still choose neither.

3. both are fine. keyboard and mouse for shooters tho.

4. arcade style.

5. nay.

6. eastern, hands down, i just cant get used to western rpgs.

7. any of em. i care more about the games than i do about the consoles they belong to. that being said, Nintendo is always my first choice.

8. Dragon Quest, hands down. FF just does not have the charm, nor is it anywhere near as fun. also more tedious than DQ...(Well, ok, maybe not as tedious as DQ 7)

9. Trickster Online, for nostalgia reasons. Wonderland online for having a developed crafting system, a turn based battle system, and an auto mode so i could literally play 2 MM Os at the same time. Eden Eternal for allowing me to switch classes at any time, and giving me the immensely useful ability to turn invisible and avoid most monsters (useful since after the first area, ALL of them are aggressive) and the awesome Engineer class, wherein i can turn into ironman and kill a fuckton of mobs in short order.

10. inbetween. i certainly dont mind linearity, but i like the ability to explore when i feel like it. on the otherhand, sandboxes often begin and end with me not having any idea where to go what to do or why im supposed to have fun doing this.

1. Sonic or Mario? Mario, probably. I own SMB 1-3, World, and 64. I own Sonic 1-4, Sonic Adventure 1-2, Unleashed, and Colors. I like Sonic better, and I play him more often.

2. Quake 3 or Unreal Tournament? UNREAL! I'm actually playing it right now.

3. Keyboard and Mouse or Controller? I like to use keyboard and mouse for most first-person shooters, but other than that you will see me at a console, controller in hand.

4. Arcade-Style racers or more realistic racers? Arcade. SEGA RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP!

5. Sports games? Yay or nay? Aw HELL Naw.

6. Western Or Eastern RP Gs? EASTERN! Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Secret of Mana, you name it, any western RPG will be played to the furthest extent by me.

7. Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo or PC? I think I went wrong when I got my 360, because the PS 3 is backwards compatible with the older systems, which I played a lot of. The Xbox had Jet Set Radio Future and Panzer Dragoon Orta (two of my favorite video games ever which Sega should make sequels to; especially the former), the 360 has Fable and Halo, as well as Perfect Dark Zero, Quake IV, and lots of other stuff. The Wii is mediocre is comparison to something like the Super Nintendo which, in my opinion, is the best console of all time and contains the greatest library of any system. The N64 is great, as well as the Game Cube (hooray for third party support!), but the casual games are not appealing to me and the Wii U looks like a failure.

8. Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest? Final Fantasy, my favorites in this order: VII, VI, X, IX, IV, V, II, I, and I haven't played the rest. All are great games.

9.World of Warcraft vs any other MMO? Final Fantasy XI.

10 Sandbox vs Linear? Linear. I don't really have the attention span to figure out something to do in a sandbox.

1. Sonic or Mario? Both. They both my childhood heroes and are still my heroes.

2. Quake 3 or Unreal Tournament? I take the third option: Deus Ex.

3. Keyboard and Mouse or Controller: depends. Controller is grand for platformers and those games which rely on speed and jumping. Mouse though is the best for stratagy games.

4. Arcade-Style racers or more realistic racers? Arcade-Style. I enjoy Diddy Kong Racing for the N64.

5. Sports games? Yay or nay? Depends. I am not a sports fan thoug...

6. Western Or Eastern RPGS? Both. Why can we just have peace and love as oppose to fighting over this issue?

7. Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo or PC ? Team Swislarland, although I only process (and a big fan) of the later two. I belive though that the console wars are quite stupid and goes plays on the two former at my freinds house.

8. Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest? I have only played 1 game of the latter and 3 of the former. Hard to say so far...

9.World of Warcraft vs any other MMO? I once played and enjoyed World Of Warcraft. I do miss the customisation in Star Wars Galaxy though...

10 Sandbox vs Linear? Both can be good or bad. Depends on how well it is done.

1. Sonic or Mario? Both

2. Quake 3 or Unreal Tournament? Neither, give me RPG style FP Ses like Fallout: NV and Borderlands.

3. Keyboard and Mouse or Controller. FPS requires Keyboard and Mouse. Any other game can choose whatever.

4. Arcade-Style racers or more realistic racers? Arcade-Style, if you want realism go do real life.

5. Sports games? Yay or nay? No. Go play real sports. Except Mario Tennis for GBC or GBA, that one was a rare exception.

6. Western Or Eastern RPGS? Both are good for different moods.

7. Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo or PC ? A real gamer that can afford to has them all and recognizes that each has its own exclusives worth playing.

8. Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest? Both.

9.World of Warcraft vs any other MMO? I liked Rift better.

10 Sandbox vs Linear? Yes.

  1. Both. While they were built up as rival games (on paper, at least), they come very different experiences to me. The Super Mario games have this very magical sense of exploration and adventuring. Sonic, being a platformer as well, shares some of these elements, but the main draw is that pure adrenaline rush of blasting through a stage at breakneck speeds. It's a wholly different feel, so it's hard to try to choose between the two.
  2. Wouldn't know. Haven't played either and I have no interest in doing so.
  3. I'm not much of a PC gamer. I stick primarily to console and handheld gaming. Personally, I don't think I'd care as long as the controls were adjustable and user-friendly.
  4. Arcade style. Maybe it's just the Rule of Cool due to the Acceptable Breaks from Reality, but games like F-Zero, Wipeout, Hydro Thunder, and Mario Kart have always appealed to me over the overtly "grounded in reality" Gran Turismo and the like.
  5. Depends on the sport, although I tend to gravitate toward most Mario sports titles and anything that involves racing and a sense of speed (like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater). Arcade-style sports games, if you will. If we're talking about realistic simulators, like the titles developed by EA, then usually no.
  6. Eastern mainly, but I do play the occasional Western RPG if it's well-done and falls under one of my points of interest.
  7. Sony and Nintendo. My foray into gaming was with a GBC and a PS1, most of Microsoft's wares don't appeal to me at all, and PC gaming as a whole just seems too costly.
  8. I'd give the edge to Final Fantasy, if only because they're willing to shake up the gameplay mechanics from installment to installment to keep things fresh. Most of the Dragon Quest titles haven't aged as well by comparison. That being said, Dragon Quest VIII is a masterpiece despite keeping most of the archaic elements that defines the series. It is one of the most immersive, vibrant, and engaging RPGs I have played, putting many of the FF games to shame.
  9. Don't play MMOs.
  10. It's really all a matter of individual preference, particularly whether or not the person in question wants to be given nudges as to where they need to go or if they want the freedom to explore and figure that out for themselves. While most of the games I own are linear, I'm a fan of both styles. More importantly, the game has to be done well. There are terrible linear games and terrible sandbox games, so it's not like picking one or the other is going to affect the quality of a game.

1. Sonic or Mario? Probably Mario, he has a more consistent track record at least.

2. Quake 3 or Unreal Tournament? I last played Unreal tournament a long time ago and I never played Quake. I'll go with Golden Eye.

3. Keyboard and Mouse or Controller? Being largely a console gamer, controller.

4. Arcade-Style racers or more realistic racers? Arcade-Style. Mario Kart. Racing games shouldn't exist if they don't have projectiles.

5. Sports games? Yay or nay? Eh..

6. Western Or Eastern RPGS? Probably Eastern by default, I've played some Western RP Gs, but my interest tends to wane and I never finish them. Plus, and I'm not sure why, but WRPGS seem to have a tendency to be rather ugly.

7. Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo or PC ? Wherever I can find a good game.

8. Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest? Shadow Hearts. Between the two though, I'd probably go with Dragon Quest, although it's a close match.

9.World of Warcraft vs any other MMO? See Western RPGS

10 Sandbox vs Linear? Sandbox's are good as long as it's easy to keep track of where you are.

1. Sonic or Mario? Mario always.

2. Quake 3 or Unreal Tournament? Neither.

3. Keyboard and Mouse or Controller? Keyboard+mouse, usually.

4. Arcade-Style racers or more realistic racers? Arcade.

5. Sports games? Yay or nay? Yay but only live multiplayer.

6. Western Or Eastern RPGS? Modern Western RP Gs, classic eastern RP Gs.

7. Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo or PC? Ninty4evah

8. Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest? Never played Dragon Quest or any FF past 7.

9.World of Warcraft vs any other MMO? no2MMOs

10 Sandbox vs Linear? Prefer Sandbox, but it isnt a negative if a game doesnt have one. Prefer linear to poor sandboxes.

1. Sonic. I've only played a few Mario games, so this one is pretty obvious.

2. Quake 3 Arena/ Live. Too much cowardice (read:railguns) though.

3. I do not see the point in this question.

4. Neither.

5. NOOOOPE.

6. I've only really played "eastern" ones, so I can't really answer.

7. I don't take sides in console wars. Not by choice, anyway.

8. Only played F Fs. Can't really asnwer.

9. MM Os? I respond to that with Explosion Sign 'Mega Flare' I don't. play. MM Os. EVAR.

10. Haven't really encountered a "true" sandbox game, yet. (I don't have Minecraft beta, so that doesn't really count.)
