Supposedly, when the Brave and Bold guys were looking into using him, they could never actually find whatever documents stopped them from using him.
Heh.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Re Black Lightning, according to his creator (Tony Isabella) DC was just mad at him because he didn't approve of the things they'd done to the character (eg. writing him as a stereotypical Angry Black Man when -despite the obvious use of Blaxploitation tropes- he was a teacher who wanted to improve life in his 'hood.) Note DC later used BL much better even having him appointed Secretary of Education by President Luthor (!)
As for DCN being used as a showcase of DC properties, I do think that's the point though I fear they feel they need to "weird" them up to sell them. Really, do the Teen Titans need Chibi artwork, when otherwise they sound the same as in their (very successful) TV series? (and Shade?? Talk about obscure! Who's next, Brother Power The Geek??)

Hmmm. It looks like an animation variety show.
Proud member of the IAA What's the point of being grown up if you can't act childish?Last minute interview with Lauren Faust about SBFF and a couple of interview videos. The first video is about Green Lantern The Animated Series and Young Justice, the second is about the Black Lightning and SBFF shorts.
Apparently, the Black Lightning short was originally going to be a Blaxploitation parody-trailer, but now its about BL juggling his superhero life with taking care of his daughters.
So...are we gonna make a page for this block, like we have for Toonami? Apparently we have a DC Nation... are we gonna rename that or what? Make a page titled DC Nation Block?
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!Heh, they Mythbuster-ed the boxing glove arrow. Apparently it could work if the archer is skilled enough.
Or something. They didn't tell how they set it up.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. They proved that boxing glove arrows are capable of breaking champagne glasses from close range.
I don't think they actually showed the arrow flying. They show it fire off the bow, and hit the glasses. It looked rigged...but maybe that's just me being cynical.
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!So, the format is two shows, two shorts (today they showed the claymation thing and Plastic Man), and a random "behind the scenes" thing thrown in somewhere.
Also, I want Plastic Man as a full show.
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!I predict that if the block is successful they'll start adding more shows for it, then the block will get longer.
Heck, maybe we'll end up with the full morning block, with newer and maybe a few older DC Shows thrown in.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. So, that claymation short... I'm really confused at what the heck I watched.
Don't mind me. I'm just a creepy little lurker. They'll have to make it longer to include the CGI Batman cartoon that's in the pipeline. That or just kick Young Justice to the curb.
Honestly I was expecting more of the behind-the-scenes stuff. All we got was a badly edited boxing-glove-arrow mythbuster.
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!Maybe they'll do a retake?
Anyway, this looks strange, yet palatable.
Proud member of the IAA What's the point of being grown up if you can't act childish? So did anyone see Super Best Friends Forever?
GOH! JII! RAH!No, today they only aired the claymation shorts and Plastic Man (the Plastic Man one was hilarious by the way). The ad during Young Justice's credits seems to hint that a Teen Titans short is next week.
I've notice we've only seen concept art of SBFF, which might mean its a little further down the line than other shorts we've had video glimpses of. That said, Lauren Faust has revealed some information about it, including the three villains that will appear (Solomon Grundy, Cheetah, and Poison Ivy). You can see some concept art in the background of the second video in that link.
So...about that DC Nation page. We doing something for it?
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!Now that I think about it, a Doom Patrol show would be pretty cool to see. Maybe a Booster Gold show, too.

Also known as Achillesforever6 of Lordkat.com fameWonder Girl (voiced by Grey De Lisle), Batgirl (reprised by Tara Strong) and Supergirl (voiced by Nicole Sullivan)
Wow, I really wanted to see those 3 VA in same show. Now I'm more exited about Super Best Friends Forever.
Because he know I'm going to go out in this plane and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe. One of articles confirms that ( I read wikipedia only). But also I have word from Godness herself.
Because he know I'm going to go out in this plane and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe.Alright Lauren says so (though she's been wrong about voice actors before....). That said, I'm still having trouble finding the articles that confirm the actors. They're not cited on The Other Wiki. You shouldn't solely trust stuff you read on Wikipedia, always check the sources.
And don't call Lauren Faust a "Godness", its kinda creepy, but that's neither here nor there...
About making a page for DC Nation. Since there's a page already Roleplay page for that name, do we put DC Nation under a namespace like "Western Animation"? Name it DC Nation Block to differentiate it from the other DC Nation?
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you! It's a variant of Word of God.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. But this time it's about VA of main characters of show she now working on it.
And I don't see nothing creepy in saying Word Of Godness. (Unless its remind someone of Fallout Equestria).
Because he know I'm going to go out in this plane and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe. If it's a play on Word of God, it should be Word Of Goddess.
I'm more surprised that they're using him semi-constantly now.
Not that it was never in their power, it's just I heard the deal was that they had to pay the author for use of him or his characters, and DC abhors paying extra.
