Have any of you seen this series of videos on youtube? It's on the FineBros channel on youtube (who has apparently done many other videos, very few that I've watched). The premise is that they have kids and adolescents, aged 5-15, who watch various videos. It started as Viral Videos (Numa Numa, Double Rainbow, Nyan Cat...) but has also branched into celebrities and "celebrities" (Rebecca Black, Lady Gaga and apparently the Vocaloid Hatsune Miku) Movie Trailers (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows) and even a Very Special Episode (Osama Bin Laden's death).

I personally think it's kinda interesting seeing younger peoples thoughts on the videos I coo over and refresh again and again, or shun and wonder what people see in it. The reactions range from cute, to facepalm worthy, and sometimes even insightful (always watch for what William has to say). This was the latest one (Kid's react to Hatsune Miku)

It's pretty interesting to see what so many internet-denizens take for granted being seen in a new light...

I have been wondering for a while.. Don't they enough fans for a tvtropes page right now, or does that not cover the tvtropes target?

I'd say that it's popular enough for one, I'm just too lazy to start it up right now. I'll probably get to it if noone else does though.

Oh, I misread that at first. I thought someone was actually suggesting:

Kids React To just did Tobuscus, which he vlogged about and is how I found them. It's a pretty neat series, but the fact that they did an episode on my favorite YouTuber works very strongly in their favor. grin

The whole thing is just a nice contrast. If it was just one kid in a simple reaction shot, it would be pretty boring—but the way they get so many kids, each of a different age and always-varying opinions, makes for a pretty good survey.

William got a guest appearance on Tobuscus' Cute Win Fail. "Hi, I'm Toby Turner, and age defying cream really works." [lol] That's a WIN, that's a 10 year old appearing in his favorite star's show WIN!

Wow, this show's awesome. Didn't expect this to be as funny as it is, and I'm surprised no one's thought up a concept like this before. I like hearing most of the older kids talk, 'cause they provide a surprising amount of insight.

Also, there are two videos that I'd like to see done. The first is Yu Gi Oh The Abridged Series. The second is some kind of Newgrounds sprite flash video (I'd recommend the later episodes of Super Mario Bros Z).

Ah, another Very Special Episode. Jake really sounds like someone who has/had issues with this, it seemed like he was almost in tears at some point. I also had to lol at the "Cool Tools"

I'd love to see a Kids React to Your Favorite Martian or possibly to one of the various viral videos spawned from My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic, especially the physics presentation, to see what their take on the show and its bronies is.

Did you guys see their "guest appearance" in the recent Schmoyoho song, "Chuck Testa"? Now, THAT WAS EPIC!

Chuck Testa is Win.

Kids React To... is Win

Schmoyoh0 is Win.

Put the three together and you get Win Beyond the Impossible

I can't believe this show doesn't have a trope page yet. I'm sure it deserves one by now.

I'll get to it!...one day. Maybe today after class.

Also, teens react made it's debut a couple weeks ago:

The reactions were pretty varied, though I guess most of the guys have become a bit jaded to Twilight since it's fanbase has been at ridiculous levels since the movies came out. I think I may find myself becoming a fan of Jade and Rachel. Of course Lia's still great too.

I was really disappointed with Teens React, personally, mostly for choosing such a polarizing subject as their first reaction. Most of the teens there aren't really funny or thought-provoking, though some have potential to be like Lia.

I tried showing a friend of mine this series a week ago, and it didn't go well at all. The more videos I showed him the angrier he got, partially because it made him feel like an old man, and partially because he couldn't believe how "ignorant" the children were. He found the Bin Laden vid and ranted for 15 minutes at how America is doomed because the kids had to actually think about who Bin Laden was. That's the main reason why William is his favorite; William actually knows his stuff. That same reason is why the one he hates with a passion is Lia, who he sees as a Too Dumb to Live Valley Girl who "epitomizes everything wrong with the current generation of Americans".

Yeah, note to self: Just because I like a series doesn't mean my friends will. Roger copied understood.

[up]My friend has a bad tendency of being a bit too judgemental towards everyone younger than him. I honestly hoped he wouldn't have been set off by this, but I was wrong. Don't get me wrong, he loves the series; he just took it a lot more politically/seriously than I was expecting.
