The only thing I can think of is if there's literally a label tattoo, like "Slave #365." But I don't think I've ever actually seen one like that.
Only place I've seen those types of pictures are at the Holocaust Museum. Very depressing.
I dunno... a picture of Christopher Judge as Te'alc that shows off his forehead thingy? At least it looks like a brand. Or maybe a screencap of one of the "sigils" worn by the vampire's still-mortal servants in the Blade film series.

Being in a Japanese-produced work is not enough of a difference to warrant its own trope.Magneto has a tattoo from the holocaust. I think you might be able to get a shot from the live-action movies...here's all I got from GIS.◊ Speaking of X-Men, there's also Bishop◊ and Rachel◊ Summers◊.
First key to interpreting a work: Things mean things. It works fine; you see the brand, and she explains what it is.
Then again, I will be fiercely protective of this image over maybe any on the site for obvious reasons.
Bishop's M might be useful, but Rachel's falls into "bitchin' tattoo" territory.
Fan Myopia is never a good reason to keep things when they are broken. The problem is, it doesn't look like a brand. It looks like a tramp stamp.

Being in a Japanese-produced work is not enough of a difference to warrant its own trope. Then just change the caption.
To what... "This isn't actually a tramp stamp, despite what it looks like. Its actually a slave brand, but you can't tell without us saying so because its non-indicative of the trope, and the only reason why we're keeping it is because a fan of One Piece insisted. Sorry about that?" maybe?

Being in a Japanese-produced work is not enough of a difference to warrant its own trope. In favor of pulling the current image.
+1 to pull...great pic, but it doesn't say anything obvious about being a slave.
I'll look at the other suggestions tonight.
add the current picture on with another panel from that chapter explaining what it is.

Being in a Japanese-produced work is not enough of a difference to warrant its own trope. How about this?
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyI'll check it when I get home.
Barcodes are a distinct subtrope, Scannable Man.
I did a GIS for "slave brands" and unfortunately the best one I found in terms of clarity and obviousness (showing what its about, I mean) is drastically not safe for work, being basically a picture of a branded pudenda.
So far I think the best bet is either a headshot of Tea'lc or a headshot of Bishop.

Being in a Japanese-produced work is not enough of a difference to warrant its own trope.Oh good grief...that makes me hurt and I'm a guy.
We need to be GIS'ing the examples...off the top of my head, Magneto's concentration camp tattoo (or any historical pic of such) seems like it would be a prime candidate.

What about panels 3 and 4 of this comic? I also got it to crop to 350 without shrinking it.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. Here's the relevant material at 350 px. It's a good idea, and as long as we can get permission to use it that's fine. We need to keep looking in the meantime, though.
Alright, here's◊ a 2-panel of Magneto with his camp tattoo...probably only need the second panel. I'm finding bupkis for his tattoo from the films.

Were those slave brands? I'm sure it was "this is who we can murder anytime we feel like it, and just keep alive if we feel like it".
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Read the page, please, DQZ. Right now it covers other things beside strictly slaves and strictly brands.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.For all intents and purposes they were, even if they weren't specifically slave marks.
That would work.

Being in a Japanese-produced work is not enough of a difference to warrant its own trope.I was wondering earlier if the camp tattoos technically fit this trope, but since the camp inmates were used for forced labor, I suppose they technically count.
EDIT: Ninja'd.

I'm liking 19 the most right now.
Fight smart, not fair.
Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:
As the caption says, "that looks like a bitchin' tattoo", not like a slave brand at all. Its the moral equivalent of JAFAAC as far as being indicative of the trope is concerned.
I think no picture at all would be better than the one that's there...
