When I first heard that 4Kids sold Yu-Gi-Oh! to Saban, my very first thought was, "I eagerly anticipate your imminent demise then!", because I don't see what else 4Kids has that can keep them afloat.

Based on what I've seen of Power Rangers Samurai, I don't see how Saban would be much better than 4Kids though.

The only bad thing I recall Saban doing was butchering Esca Flowne. I'm pretty sure they won't tamper w/ Yu-Gi-Oh! If we're lucky, we might even get "Season/Series 0" dubbed.

Technically it was the season where games of Darkness affected all games, just not just duel monsters (and it was a part of the canon manga the second series never bothered to adapt, for some odd reason).

In all honesty, I feel that Yu Gi Oh got better when it focused on a single game only, though.

Technically the card games weren't supposed to be relevant at all. The whole series was supposed to be about a variety of games. if i remember right "yugioh" means king of games. The card games just became more prominent and took over the show,and to be honest i Liked it much better before it became card centric.

When i heard of 4kids giving their right to saban i did in fact facepalm,and then i just laughed. Because it seems like no matter what,the yugioh franchises destiny will be to forever remain bowlderised to the eyes of the public (poor thing).

Luckily i haven't cared for this series past saga 2,and season 0. But its still quite sad to hear it will continue to be mishandled (and yes saban is worse)

I actually like 4Kids. Besides being responsible for actually bringing anime into the west a popular mindset, something other than All Anime Is Naughty Tentacles, the voices weren't completely terrible I found. Hell, even at its worst, it becomes so censorship aware that it crosses the border into hilariously bad.

So yeah, as far as I'm concerned, there's nothing that needs forgiving.

4kids are the reason why DVD sales for hot shows like Yu-gi-oh is shit and shows like Shaman King has fallen into obscurity for anime/manga fans. Hao is named Zeke, Chocolove's name is "Joco" for some obsenely retarded reason. Admidamaru's technique Buddha Giri is changed to Celestial Slash to avoid upsetting the religious (who are pretty much always upset and tarding community's up). Yeah, no I don't think so. I'll give them kudos for making Pokemon alright and episodes which had elements they erased in later dubs they made. But when it comes to Yu-gi-oh, Shaman King, One Piece? Hahahahahhahaha...no.

Joco is definitely less racist of a name than Chocolove, though. One of the few things they got right.

Eh, Chocolove sounded more funny than it did racist. Saying it sounds racist because of how he's black it silly. I'm not accusing that Chinese dude from Chapelle Show from that "Player Haters skit" of being racist because of how he insulted that dude for calling him a "sexual chocolate". I mean I'm black and I couldn't give two shits if someone says I'm chocolate colored. The fact of the matter is I am.

Want me to tell you what is an example of an insult towards black people in manga edits? The way Bob Makihara from Tenjho Tenge's dialogue is that of a dumb unsophisticated ghetto thug.

If Chocolove in dialogue (taking an example from "The Boondocks" episode "The S-word" here lol ) was called a spearchucker I'd be offended.
