Isn't 45 minutes pretty much the equivalent of three matches? So you buy a whole 12 pack, to get benefits for three matches? I fail to see how this makes Kotick a money grubbing asshole.
So. Let's all pause for a moment to smell what the Rock was, is, and forever will be... cooking.—Cave JohnsonIt's times like this that I realize that I'm the only one in my generation who is still going to drink water after this.
Hmmm.
No thanks.

"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Even if I played MW 3, the only way they're going to get me to drink Pepsi (or any soft drinks, for that matter) is make it not taste horrible.
And I thought Kotick was pure evil when he announced the dvds of cut scenes...
Tropers watching moviesEh, probably taking advantage of synergy effects. I doubt even Kotick woke up one day and figured "junk food equals fat kids equals more sales of MW 3 muahahahaha"
YU AR TRIYIN TU HARD KOTIC
http://steamcommunity.com/id/Xan-Xan/Oh boy this going to be like when Burger King had that Pokemon promotion. Every 7-Eleven around will be picked fucking clean.
Sorry, I can't hear you from my FLYING METAL BOX!And in addition to having twelve (eight) year olds play M rated games online, they're going to be jacked up on sugar...
That's it; I'm not buying MW 3

Tropers watching moviesThe one moment I want some sort of lawyer getting in on this.
Sadly that would probably just be free advertising.
Mountain Dew and Doritos? Isn't that already everything a Co D player ever consumes?
Estimated shipping time: 2-4 weeks.Too bad there's no law against being an all-around greedy prick...
Wait, I just accurately described businesses in general.
Ah well, no use getting worked up over it.
Tropers watching moviesAll I like is soft drinks. I can not get into Tea or Coffee or alcohol. I'll drink juices and milk but I don't look forward to them. I also drink a lot of water though. I'm a very thirsty person....
...anyway, I don't want MW 3, so......how crafty. I suppose.
DumboEh this is nothing new. Soda companies have been running promotions like this for years.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.@Neo: I can just see that now: Entire convenience stores and supermarkets devoid of Pepsi.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelI only drink pop (and chocolate milk/normal milk) but only one a day, or two on occasion.
I drink sodas, but they're always diet. They just taste better to me after years of having them for their nutrutional value.
I have a message from another time...Ha, this is hilarious. I'm just amazed at how well Kotick manages to keep one upping himself with these ideas.
The only soda I really drink is Dr. Pepper, and even then, only on occasion.
I'm more of a fan of Coffee, Milk, and Tea.
Tropers watching moviesI will drink Pepsi, but I will not support this crap. People like him make other businessman look like evil incarnate,
http://steamcommunity.com/id/Xan-Xan/What exactly is so evil about this? It just seems like a promotion that capitalizes on gamers common eating habits.
EDIT: I re-read the XP time per soda. Yeah, that's kind of a rip-off.

Sorry, I can't hear you from my FLYING METAL BOX!Yeah, its not like its just "Buy this many mountain dews and get a MW 3" shirt, which happens all the time.
This is actual gameplay affecting.
@Enlong: ...You realize all the "diet" bit does for the drink is make them even unhealthier, right? At least without the diet you still get sugar; the nutritional benefit of the diet drinks is effectively nil. (I think they may have a little bit of salt)

"The promotion is called “Rank Up XP,” and the long and short of it is that by buying certain Pepsi products, namely Mountain Dew and Doritos, players can redeem codes in the packaging for Double XP time in Modern Warfare 3. A 20 oz gets you 15 minutes, a 12 pack gets you 45, and so on."
Haha oh wow. Kotick is an evil genius.
