I skimmed through it and didn't see any of the joke weapons, is there a specific point where some pop up?
Bumping.

What about this? There's also the pow hammer◊ and basket and rolling pin◊. Not the sharpest images around, but hey.

The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman. That would be nice if there was a way to make the squid a little more obvious.
Cut the right half off the screen and enlarge the left half, done.
The source◊ quality is pretty low, though. Can't zoom it in too much.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.Found a pic of Cid wielding his mop◊.
Taking a different tack, we also have Curly's Panties◊, from Cave Story
Also, I realize this isn't quite on point, but I will always find this image◊ hilarious.
Belief or disbelief rests with you.The Cave Story one is perfection!
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.... Do the panties count as a weapon, though?
I like the FF 7 one. A little dark, but it's recognizable as a mop and the action pose is a nice touch. Give it a caption like "Totally a spear." and it works.
They don't have to - the trope is Joke Item, not Joke Weapon.
Curly's Panties for the win.
There's never a reason to not show panties on this site. Plus one for the Cave Story pic.
If we really can't show the panties, there's always the other useless items, like the lipstick.
I have a message from another time...Or we can mention it in the caption.
,+1 for panties.
Also, the Halo dog gun is hilarious, that's my second option.

The Halo dog doesn't look like this trope(for one, it's a photo, not a rendering).
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanBumping again.
Do the joke weapons from that game show on the battle sprite when fighting in FFVII?
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.Clock is set. The Curly's Panties pic in #34 has some consensus...run with it or make a crowner?

I counted 4 or 5 votes for panties. My vote makes 6.
Here's a version with an unnecesarily high amount of editing:

I was going to look for a picture of the squeaky hammer from Power Stone 2, because it's the one I remember best out of quite a few joke items, but then I realized it's important to show that the stats are what make it a joke. It's hard for an image to demonstrate that something has no use unless the image actually says that something has no use. So that's why the Cave Story picture that says it is probably best.
Nah, I still like Cave's Story. It has both a picture of an item and text naming it, and it outright says "this is useless," so it can't be mistaken for It May Help You on Your Quest.
I'll be honest - having only just now noticed this topic, the first thing that came to mind was Earthworm Jim 2's Bubble Gun. Surprisingly, the best image a GIS could turn up was this washed-out thing◊; I could probably generate a better one once I got home, since there's a hard-to-miss one in the first level (as opposed to the last level that this image depicts).
Moon◊The horse wiener isn't an example anyway; believe it or not, it's actually useful. The trope description seems to be entirely about items that are completely useless.
