Tropers' Facebook Profiles

If we have a thread for Twitter, why not have one for Facebook? If you feel comfortable with sharing your Facebook profile, you can do it here. Here's mine. You can send me friend requests if you want, but make sure to include your TV Tropes handle in the request, so I would know who sent it.

Dunno about this... our forum is public and Facebook can reveal sensitive info, even if you have a lit of security features set. It's just not a good idea to publicly link our profiles....

I'm sure any of us who post this stuff knows of the risks.

If any of you don't know, well, you should find out about them or something, I guess..

Alright... I just don't want anyone to end up face down in a ditch in Vegas or something because a creeper got to them.

Anyway, I'm not sure if "please include your TV Tropes handle" is appropriate to ask. Some people need to keep their Troper lives and their meatspace lives separate, and well, Facebook is supposed to be an extension of the latter.

Indeed, can't we just go "I find you're an interesting person I'd like to know better" without telling the hypothetical "you" who we are on this site?

Don't worry, Bella, I know the risks and think that, being from a part of the world which populace is almost nonexistent on this forum, I'm pretty safe. Though, to be honest, I would be pretty skittish if I was living in America, Britain or some other country with a large troper population.

Thing is, I'm sure some of us really don't want anyone to be able to connect our identities here to the ones we have in meatspace. Your perceptions of people will probably change the more you learn about them, so knowing that two different identities are simply different sides to one individual will most likely affect your views on said individual.

Just because I know who you are here doesn't mean that I will go out of my way to reference your troper persona and whatever you do here. It's just a manner of courtesy, because truth be told, I wouldn't like to add anyone who asks me for an invite here.

I don't add random people who ask for invites, so if you want to get added include your troper handle in your invite.

By the way, zero percent of the info on this page is real. It should be fairly obvious I don't work at Aperture Science.

I won't then. It's just really uncomfortable for me to even consider letting any of you know who I actually am. This persona here is already plenty me. Actually, possibly even more me than if you knew my religion (or lack thereof), age, nationality and sexuality, because those things can bring about stereotypes...
