Maybe they'll air the original on Toonami beforehand as a preview. That'd be pretty cool.

No one cares about Last Exile for the story. It's all about the visuals (who at the time were Mind-blowing) Fam wasn't just not as mind-blowing in comparison, it actually looked WORSE than the original.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntOriginal Last Exile had fascinating world and great secret behind it. When Fam came it was just atempt makes things Bigger and more epic, which actualy didn't do justice to overal atmosphere of it.

As the original series went on, it dropped a ton of hints about the nature of Anatoray, Disith and Prester as a whole. The Hourglass appears everywhere, the Mysterium relates back to Earth, there's what Claudia actually is, there's all the stuff written in English with the Greek alphabet and so on. I don't think most people realized it, but there's a huge puzzle through the series that is revealed right at the end. If Last Exile needed anything, it was a sequel movie or OVA, as the series ended really abruptly.
It's also one of the only series that Gonzo managed to maintain a consistent level of quality in the animation.
Okay, better than their usual level of consistency.

Not Three Laws compliant.Oh, I get that. I get anyone preferring the original Last Exile for the atmosphere; I was talking about the people who flat out say the story/plot is better, when it is not.
& The world is indeed interesting, but I would argue that Fam matched that, or at least didn't fall too far behind, in addition to having a better execution of the story.
Quality issues aside, the major problem with Fam is the titular character herself. At her most harmless, Fam is a distraction, at her worst, Fam is a bloody-minded idiot who's willfully ignoring the situation the world is in (see her putting her foot in her mouth during the war conference where by all rights she SHOULDN'T even be present in).

That's true.
Shame despite admitting those flaws are legitimate (and therin lies the other reason it might not be good on Toonami — the moe looks of the leads would likely be a turnoff for some), it never occurred to me until Fam realized it herself — she's pretty much an adorable shonen heroine keeping the dark plot from sinking any faster than it has to (compare Ringo...though I guess Sara fills that kind of role better).
Speaking of adorable... Leah (Gisey) doesn't mention it, but it was actually Jad (Fam) who made that. :3

The dub cast for Silver Wing is out. The characters returning had a change of VA, which was probably obvious given how many were recurring.
This WAS scheduled to be out at the end of April, but was suddenly rescheduled to September. Some are speculating a Toonami broadcast, though the first series never aired.
