Talk about The Fairly Odd Parents, Danny Phantom and the ALL NEW T.U.F.F. Puppy shows, that is created by Butch Hartman.

Ah, Fairly Odd Parents. It's one of the earliest western media I came across. I think my first episode was when Timmy said he doesn't need Vicky babysitting him, which he almost proved...except his parents discovered a cookie between his teeth and deemed him not mature enough to take care of himself, which made Vicky to return with a chaintoothbrush.

Yeah, it was a good show alright. grin

T.U.F.F. Puppy is the only thing I bring myself to watch from this hack. And I'm just watching to see where it will ultimately fail me as a viewer, to boot. Worse thing is - I don't want it to fail. I'm actually enjoying it.

Too bad I'm looking back and seeing this hack is the mastermind behind Fairly Oddparents (which sucks and should've been cancelled by now) nd Danny Phantom (Which was bad to begin with and only got good when it came to an end, which is just sad IMHO).

Jesus Christ, it's like anyone who makes more than two shows garners automatic hate from this site.

TUFF Puppy is surprisingly good. Shockingly, even. I don't know why I expected it to be lackluster (maybe because a lot of shows that feature on Nicktoons Network are) but I was pleasantly surprised.

The theme song is majorly annoying, though.

[up][up] The reason I hate most of the stuff Hartman makes (As well as feel this way about Hartman as a person)(excpet TUFF Puppy, but I'm expecting that show to turn into shit, too, especially if it goes on for too long) is because HE DOESN'T CARE about it, like a real artist should! He always seems to hand off his hackwork to people who hate children and love to insult their intelligence with banal shit like those other shows that aren't TUFF Puppy (right now, anyway).

As Torquey mentioned, Hartman is just the Seth at Nick(and yes, I am aware these two worked with each other. I wouldn't be surprised if they were friends). I avoided Fairyodd Parents, it looked like something that you'd watch to kill yourself with. Like seth, Hartman is doing animation just for the profits. And it aint hard to see why with the never ending crap from Oddparents.

I tried watching Danny Phantom. I hated it. It sounded like a cool concept in the end its killed by Hartman's shitty writing as an excuse for humor. I wish that somebody like Bruce Timm, Genndy Tartakovsky, or even Brad Bird was at the helm of Danny phantom over Hartman. I know for certain that one of these three guys can pull off something better than what Hartman unleashed. Besides, the bad guys were more interesting than the main characters(Desiree being one of the bad guys that I even rooted for to kick danny's butt).

Danny Phantom is passable for the first two seasons. FOP not so much, especially with the flanderization.

I love butch and I believe he is one of the best. But he has a big weakness his characters are flat (most of the time). He only makes them 3 dimensional on rare episodes or in big special event movies like wishology and channel chasers.

For instance Trixie seemed to have Hidden Depths in "boy who would be queen" but this was abandoned and never mentioned again in later episodes (a big flaw of his). Sometimes timmy's parents are 3 dimensional caring but flawed parents and others they are simply one dimensional Abusive Parents that abandon timmy For the Lulz

Most characters get barely any development and become only one dimensional flanderizations in favour of humor.

He makes you believe that his characters have deep personalities and even hints Hidden Depths and then this is abandoned without notice.

That being said, when his characters are at their best he creates very heartwarming and touching stories.

I believed that seth macfarlane and butch mcfarlane had passions for their work at one point but they ran of steam at some point. Hartman does genuinely have passion for his work, its that he ran out of ideas.

Thanks.

But if that's the case, Why not stop right now to show those whose got the balls around here to be that bigger man, without money getting the way?!

I know I shouldn't ask all that, but it needs to be said, even if just IMHO.

@ Fallen Legend: I realize that, as well. I know Butch Hartman can make a serious, enjoyable tale if he really put his mind into it. Same with Seth Macfarlane(The Golden Turd and Mind Quad, anyone?)

But really, art and dignity don't pay bills, and not many viewers really care about "true art."

Yep, I'm still here.
